You forgot one Mr. Rahul Dravid. He is designed to live in this world for that very purpose- to save India from the clutches of death. He thrives on pressure situations. Why risk two younger players when you've got him?

P.S: I was only metaphorically speaking. Dravid is not the next messiah or anything.

simple. India is looking forward to WC07. They want to try youngsters in pressure situations. That is the reason behind all these "experiments" and "strategies". Rahul is experienced, can thrive in various conditions. Kaif too, he has showed that in the past. But he has not played a convincing ODI knock for a while, because he has been coming down the order or did not even bat in an innings.

We don't want that. We want our future NO.3 at that place, its none other than Kaif. Dravid is already coming down at no.4 or 5, so it wouldn't hurt India if they sent Kaif. He would not score 20 runs of 50 balls, rather 40 of 50 balls and when you have a big hitter at the other end, it shouldn't cost India.
So far..we have been wasting his batting talent and it hurt India, like in the first match.

Good win for India in the second ODI. Indians have played better cricket in this one day series thus far. Sehwag missing in the third ODI could really hurt the Indians. I suspect they might open with Irfan Pathan.

Does anyone know the US starting time for the match?

IT says 6am GMT which should be 1am EST (USA time)

Cant wait for the match to start! Pakistan is thristing for a bounce back! India want to maintain the winning run because they have given away good situations easily before and they know it better than anyone else!

I hope the Pakistani batsmen dont try to obstruct the fielders and instead look to survive in the legitimate way possible! :p

Right now, their aim is nothing beyond the WC2007! I think Kaif can easily fit into the NO.3 slot after Dravid retiring, so I dont think its really needed to groom him for that role!

Who told you Dravid is ain't gonna reitre just because he's 32 he still can play. He's still young if he maintain his fitness then he will keep on playing.

Dravid is not at no.3 anymore. That slot is wide open, even no.4. The point is, its a waste sending Kaif down the order. It doesn't make sense.

Remember, Dravid used to be the same in the early days. It is only in the last 2-3 years, he has learnt to change pace of the innings. Kaif needs to do the same and for that, he has to come at no.3. You don't want a talent sitting in the dressing room, doing nothing. Beyond WC07, we want a new Kaif, who can play in different positions. THis will provide chance for the newcomers who come later.

The bottom line is, India see a Dravid in Kaif. So yes, they have to groom him for that role, sooner than later.

India win toss and elect to field!

Should be really really interesting! Seeing the way it has gone so far in this series, chasing has been relatively easier! So India are in a sort of an advantage! And India have won their last 9 matches that they've chased!

History is on India's side! Hope they use it to their advantage! C'mon India!

Overcast conditions with some moisture on the pitch! Can Pathan rock the top order and help India again?

I think Kaif can easily fit himself into No.3! Yes, he can get that occasional opportunity to bat there! But its not like India are making a mistake not playing him at No.3

Edit: Uminaginative captaincy from Rahul Dravid! Bringing in RP Singh into the XI and having Zaheer Khan as the Super Sub and electing to field first! What theory is this? This is a clear indication that Dravid was thinking he would lose the toss and be able to use the fifth bowler! Thats negative! And one more thing, if he was ready to lose the toss, why did he have Zaheer as the Super Sub? Had he lost the toss and batted first, then India bowl in the second innings with 5 fast bowlers! What variety is that? I am not impressed with Dravid's decision here! I feel its absurd!

It also shows that the Super Sub rule is causing headaches! I hope the ICC does something to it soon!
