Good to see the Indians not rubbing it on to the Pakistani wounds !
Prez.Musharraf , I thought made a great gesture by encouraging both sides and his comment on Dhoni and his hair.
Moin Khan , did a huge mistake by commenting on Sachin`s ability in his columns .
He has motivated the great man and he is looking in superb touch now!
Actually, the last few times Tendulkar has got out in the 90s and 80s, India have won ! I would list a few.
98 V Pakistan at Centurion , WC 2003
97 V SRL at Jo`burg WC2003
87 V AUS at Brisbane VB Series 2004
94 V SRL at Nagpur 2005
95 V Pak at Lahore 2005
Now on to his last few 100s
141 V Pakistan at Rawalpindi 2004 (India lost by 12 runs)
123 V Pakistan at Ah`bad 2005 (India lost by 3 wickets)
100 V Pakistan at Peshawar 2005 (India lost by D/L : 7 runs)
If Iam not wrong, Sachin`s last hundred resulting in an Indian win was his 103 against NZ in the TVS Cup Tri-Series in 2003.
It shows that Tendulkar has been setting up matches for the side but they have been unable to capitalize on that.
Rana Naved looked superb against England but now he looks aweful .
One thing that came to my mind y`day was that India will b very tough to beat for England with the Indian top order in ominous form (especially in ODIs).
Also, we are now starting to see an Indian side who are beginning to look real contenders for the WC next year.
As Nasser Hussain said, `India need to find one more bowler who can suport Pathan and bowls at a decent speed an they`ll be a big contender for th WC 2007`
I feel Sreesanth has it in him to be a strike bowler. He has the aggression and the right attitude.
He needs to just tone it down a bit.
If we can strike the right combination in the bowling dept., we have the batting which can post 300+ consistently on the good ODI pitches which the Carribean will offer.
