To that end, we were missing Yuvraj and Dravid from our batting line-up and also Agarkar got injured half-way. No doubt the South African team wasn't their best team, but they did select a lot of guys who could bat and bowl (Henderson, Telemachus, for example).

Well done India,looks like some players are finding form,will have to see in the last ODI.As for us,what Smith was thinking by bringing in peterson so late,I don't know.He should have been bowling much earlier.oh well,still the last ODI to look forward to.I would like to see some of the other players be given a chance,such as Morkel and Prince.Also would have been good to see Botha make his return in this match,but wasn't to be.

Anyways, Mongia played very well yesterday. That 38 off 45 balls was really good in the context of the game! Dinesh Karthick was brilliant for his 31. Looks like he can settle in the team as a specialist batsman. He is a very good fielder and a livewire on the field (from what we have seen in this tour). And with him in the team, Dhoni will always feel the heat!

I think India can take some confidence of this win into the last match. I am expecting a much improved performance from the Indian batsmen in the last match. Also since the team for the tests is announced, the team I feel is going to be on their toes. and Laxman's presence is going to help since he is a senior with lots of experience! Hope India finally wins a ODI match this series! Anyways, waiting for the test matches!

So you want to diss Dhoni already?

I don't know where you've been dude, but I've ALWAYS been dissing Dhoni. I feel Karthik is a better keeper and batsman. Dhoni is fine if all you want is a hard hitter. But if you are gonna play him above 7, what's the point? he gets out if he is bogged down. Let him go wild at 3, or hold him at 7, or play Karthik.
Oh, and in tests, it should be a no brainer. Like how Ramdi gets selected over Baugh, or Sangakkarra used to over Kalu, Karthik should be over Dhoni. Simple as that.

I think Dhoni is a good enough batsman so that he can still stay in the side even if he doesn't keep.
Dinesh Kaarthick is BY FAR a better wicket keeper than Dhoni, and is turning out to be a better batsman too.
He's shown that he can hit the big 'uns too, that he can aggress in pressure situations and succeed.
I can't see why there isn't space for both of them in the ODI side, tests, Dhoni i gotta say, we don't need him.

VVS Laxman announced as Vice Captain for the Tests I'm sooo happy for him. Just in time for a last hurrah in the world cup, i pray that he will do well.
Theres a high chance that he'll also captain the first match, as Dravid struggles with his injury.
Ganguly, he is MY HERO. He let the world know that we are not push overs who rely on the one man, Sachin Tendulkar. He made it so that people wouldn't turn off their TV's just because ST got out. He told the world in his awesome in-your-face attitude that we can too, challenge the best of the best. And he's doing it again. in a time of trouble, when the whole world was against him, he has pulled it off. He is back in the side, slamming a ranji century.

Dhoni you definitely need in the ODIs as hes such a good striker of the ball as his SR in ODI cricket shows. Also his average is up there with the best ODI players so at worst play him as a batter.
