The New New Schedule

18th August: 1st ODI
20th August: 2nd ODI
22nd August: 3rd ODI

All matches played at Colombo (SSC)
Only three matches.I don't understand if India can stay there then y not South Africa.Or they think that they will be safe in South Africa. If something wrong has to happen then it can happen anywhere.

The funny thing is that if India would have progressed to the final, they would have ended up playing 5 games (4 league games and the final). Yet, they were adamant on playing only 3 games.

When you are coming back from a break and going into another tri-series (featuring the World champs) and then the Champions Trophy, one'd think you'd want to get back in nick, especially given that you come back into new seasons very, very weakly.

India might have wanted to finish off the tour as quickly as possible and go back home. They might sound encouraging on the outside and not as scared as South Africans are, but inside them, I feel some are still a bit edgy! Their tour here has so far been a non starter with controversies mounting. It would be best to have a 3 match series and pack your bags back home!

And if India & Sri Lanka would have entered the final, India would have played 3 against Sri Lanka! :)

True, but I would have thought they'd have wanted to get matches under their belt.

It is still raining here. I'm not sure they can play a full match tomorrow.

And about South Africans, I have to say they are really chickens. Indians said that they are satisfied with security given to them and thousand athletes from 8 south asians countries are now in Colombo to participate in South Asian Games. so why south africans can't stay?

I wouldn't be surprised if the series is just washed out completely.

Regarding South Africa's decision, I think this is a good read.

I must say. SA pulling out was a bad decision for them, the matches could only have benefit some of the younger players who may be needed to fill in for WC or champs trophy. I don't think they had a chance in the final at their current state.

true.

PS: by the way, you've got some really good quotes. Where do you get them?

This series is getting very boring...and not even a single ball has been bowled. i hope the rain stays away.

OMG, light drizzle, but the ground is waterlogged. This is starting to get really annoying... Hopefully there's going to be atleast some play today

Still raining. Ten Sports decides to show the world's favorite sport: Golf.
From a top tier tri-series, to a postponed to a tri-series, to a bilateral series, to a shortened bilateral series, to a washout?
