Take it easy, Calling any country's team "Crappy" shows how ignorant you are.
cricket4life said:One thing makes to say bad things about team India is that, how could lose to West Indies when they beat world class teams like, England, Pakistan, SriLanka and leveled with South Africa. If they had lost to one of thoese team den I could have understood but West Indies.....unexceptable!. They're bowling isn't that great. I've been watching the whole series. Indian players are just makin it look top quailty bowling. They're making things hard for them. They should look to play possitive and score freely. Rahul seems to play too slow. They need to score 3+ per over in their next innnigs. I hope they'll play better in their next inning.
saisrini80 said:Irfan looked better than Sreesanth and Munaf in the ODI's? May be better than Munaf, but better than Sreesanth? Did you watch the same India-WI ODI series that we all watched mate?
saisrini80 said:Irfan has been a star player for India and most often, his exploits with the bat and ball is what wins us matches. So his form slump was highly visible to everybody and it hurted the team too. Thats why he is dropped (even though the team manager says he is "rested").
saisrini80 said:So, stats mean the world to you, right? I have seen many of your previous posts and most of your arguments have been purely clinging on to each and every player's statistics. You dont seem to give a damn to what impact the player might have in the match, what the captain and the team management think of the role that the selected player might play, etc?
m_vaughan said:I wouldnt call the bowling crappy, but it simply isnt good enough.
ronny_kingsley said:It is not even an international level bowling lineup barring Kumble.
Pakistan's "A" teams bowler might have more experience than these guys.
Numbers never lie. Do whatever you want to but the fact remains Sreesanth at best is an aveage bowler who has bee ngiven an extended run considering
his records despite that 6 for agianst England. Average of 36 and rpo of 5.71 nowhere hints at him getting nod ahead of Pathan.
Sreesanth doesnt have the pace, line ,length as demonstrated once again by Gayle,Lara,Bravo yesterday.
Him being the blue-eyed boy of Chappel isnt taking him or India forward.
PS :Sreesath from being your part of the country doesnt neccesarily mean he should always be praised
Well you see, we have this thing called television.Adarsh said:How are you watching the match?
Experience is a key factor in bowling line and length. It may look easy from a viewer's perspective, but it is difficult to maintain line and length. Especially when the batsmen are coming at you. Notice Kumble, even after being smacked for 2-3 boundaries in an over, he will still be the patient workhorse and do his line and length. Sreesanth, after being square cut for 4, will do exactly what Lara expects him to--dig it in short, and in the process get smacked for 6. It is easy to discount the worth of experience, and I think that is what the people who selected the Indian XI did, by "resting" Bhajji and Pathan.cricket_lover said:Its all-about line-length. Experience does help, but these are the basics of bowling and no matter if you are a new-bie or a pro, you should be able to bowl the ball in the right areas.
But we have better than what we are using! Why wouldn't you play Harbhajan, who had a decent tour last time? His ODI performances were, on-the-whole, tidy. He may not have got wickets, but who did? He kept the runs down, except when the Prince was in his stride. I can understand Pathan's exclusion, but I think they only got rid of Bhajji because they felt they needed 3 seamers.saisrini80 said:Doesnt need to be true always! Anyways, we got to win with what we have, and we are capable! Lets see what happens!
A lot of credit must be given to the West Indies, but I don't think they could continue this joyride without a significant contribution by the Indian players. Let me break it down:kodos said:Perhaps you should give credit to the West Indies and stop saying that this is an absolute disgrace by the Indian team and constantly criticising the team. This West Indies team has improved drastically after the long break and this could be the revival of Windies cricket. I didn't see any Aussie supporters say as much useless and rubbish posts when Aus nearly lost to Bangladesh which is 10x as bad as India losing to the Windies.
I thought you didn't get it on tv in the USA. Or are you in India?Well you see, we have this thing called television.
Indeed I'm back. College ended about a month back.Adarsh said:I thought you didn't get it on tv in the USA. Or are you in India?
