India in the West Indies

I dont give a damn to the regional status of the players. What matters to me is the ability of the players also mixed with their performance and how better they can contribute to the team than the players with whom they are competing for a place!

For me, Sachin is always higher than Rahul (even though Rahul is from my part of the country). The way you bring such regional things up, seems like you are thinking abt it more than others do!

Indian Bowlers are piece of crap! They can't bowl! They only show off. I swear to god I will beat the **** outa of all the Indian players if they lose this Test series. They're ruinin my country by losing too many games against crappy teams.

Easy, easy, Tiger!!! Let's give the bowlers one more chance. Looks like India is going to post a target of 250+. Now, if they can't get West Indies out in the 4th innings for less than 250-300, then your anger is totally justified.

Wasim Jaffer 51*

Decent innings, but its not over yet! He has to go on and make a big one! He has the Very Very Special Laxman for company!

112/1 at almost 4 runs per over is not bad at all. Good going so far (touchwood). sehwag could have stayed for a longer time. he would have hurt the windies more!

I agree with u.I don't understand why some guys think that we are being biased and parcial to our regional players.I think Sreesanth is a player who gives his 100% all the time and that's what u need.

Yup. You'll hardly ever find a player as dedicated as Sreesanth. Not to forget, he is clever, aggressive, and never backs out from a fight. Like the fast bowling version of Kumble.

Anyways, Jaffer and Laxam went beserk just before tea. 49 runs between them so far.

I have been impressed with Sreesanth's committment and aggression, but not with his returns. He is expensive and usually splays it all over the place. Hopefully this will improve in the second innings. Whatever happens, Irfan Pathan was looking unusually happy on the boundary ropes today... ;)

Finally India is looking good in this test match. If India can get atleast 300 runs lead then it will be difficult for WI.I think we will miss Bhajji here especially in the 4th inning.

Only just switched on to the test and saw a replay of a nice little shot from Laxman, only to see him out next ball! Don't know too much about Indian cricket so can't tell if that's a big wicket lost or not.

Ronny,

Saisrini80 is a Patriot and a fine gentleman. He is a Prince among the Indian fans and a class act. You owe him an apology.
You are SO wrong about Sreesanth. He's got so much spirit and enthisiasm. And just for his motivation he deserves to be persisted with. Sreesanth is the kind of bowler who electrifies the atmosphere. Have never seen anyone like him in the Indian side.

Jaffers closing in on his 100. Great performance by this up and coming opener. He really has cemented that openers spot recently. This knock has put India well and truely back into this game.

Wasim Jaffer is the sort of player who makes a very good start to the series, then fizzles out - like against England:

81, 100, 31, 17, 11, 10,

He is inconsistent in performances but he is a potential star for the future if he can maintain form - it is all down to him.

Thats just one series you can't take much out of that. Let's see how he goes here for consistency.

Well done Wasim anyway, an important innings and the 100 comes up. Well I predict that Jaffer could go on even further now - but if India stay in command with some big partnerships then we could see a score of 500+ now.

Yep well done to Jaffers on his 100. I suspect the pitch is settling down now so if the Windies play it like India have they should be able to come out with a draw. But 192 runs for the loss of 2 wickets to go with the Windies 371 suggest the pitch is back to prematch predictions.
