India in the West Indies

Well they may rue that drop if Sehwag does go on to make a HUGE innings.

Yea. You're right. Similar to Multan, where Sehwag raced away will Chopra was intact at the other end.
Chopra got out in the 40's, same with Jaffer here.

This is a good start from India.

Oopsy.. Laxman fails again! this time, for a duck!!! Laxman not having a great series here. He got starts at Antigua but threw it away. Here even before getting a start, he is over!

Hope Dravid and Sehwag rebuild the innings now. Good bowling by Collins there. India cant afford losing either of these two players early now. They have to go on and shouldnt be seperated until India puts up something like 300 or so!

yeah, quite similar. only difference here that unlike chopra, jaffer has shown that he can play a huge innings (like the 212 he played at antigua).

will this opening pair last longer than the chopra-sehwag combine? time should tell. i predict a longer innings for this pair.

I feel we have a 300 on cards.
It seems like replay of multan

Quite possible. But for that, Sehwag needs to keep going on. He shouldnt get bogged down. I hope Dravid stays with him there. When Sehwag made that 300, Tendulkar was with him at the other end. Now Dravid is in the same position, experienced and the No.4 batsmen with sehwag out there. Dravid needs to lend his experience and carry Sehwag through!

I'm hoping that Sehwag starts up some time soon, but if India keep going like this then they should make 400+ in one day. By which Day 2 they'll be in a commanding position.

A consolidation stage is going on. Both batsmen have themselves well settled here. Sehwag on 142* and Dravid on 34*. Its tea now.

India can come out after tea more positive and more aggressive and can score at least 350 by the end of day 1 which will be a huge score on day 1. sehwag needs to get his double hundred. would be great after jaffer got his in the previous test!

The monk holds all cards... nay, the Monk knows all cards. In fact, the Monk even has a card in a standard deck--the 53rd card which he chooses not to show to mere mortals.

What an innings from the Monk. His wisdom has paid huge dividends: "Why defend when one believes in swashbucklism?" It was particularly satisfying seeing Bravo taken to the cleaners. This guy has tormented us for too long in this tour, and it's about time he was put in his place by the Monk. :) Too bad Mohammad is out and Gayle is not being given a bowl. :D

Its nice to see Sehwag batting :happy :happy

As sai said, it wud be great if Sehwag gets double ton here....Bravo was smashed for 34 runs in 4 overs :clap

Good going India :clap

I thinK Mohammad is quite lucky, he doesn't have to face Sehwag in this form.

India would like to consolidate and then shift the gears. This pitch has never produced results in the two matches..and India will need to score quite quickly at some point. 500+ would be a safe total to force a result.

Great to see Sehwag play the way he used to do and answer the critics who wanted him out of the team. I was disappointed with Laxman. Should have played himself in a little more before going for the kind of shot that got him out. Hope he plays well when he gets an opportunity next time and make big scores like he used to do. Otherwise there will be a lot of talk about getting him dropped.

Yup, Sehwag should be looking to jump onto Bravo quickly after tea, again. If 500 is not enough, this pitch is not at all result-oriented.

500 is more than enough on this pitch. India, if they get to 500, cant lose the game from there on.

Sehwag batting like only he can! 176* is a really top notch innings. Come on Veeru, get that double hundred! Your double hundreds are a treat to watch. Should probably wait for the highlights of this highly satisfying innings. Dravid, the class act, is giving Sehwag astonishing company! This is finally the India that the fans wanted to see. The turnaround has started from the second innings of the Antigua test (hope I am not too early in saying that)!

Laxman needs to post a big score soon. With Tendulkar coming back for the next test series and Raina/Kaif breathing down his neck, it wont be easy if Laxman continues like this. I would consider the Antigua test as a failure for Laxman. 30's are not enough for him.

Mohammed must be praying to gods to thank his luck.. He is being saved from Sehwag's savagery. And we still have Dhoni to come, who had that special liking for Mohammed at Antigua!

200 on the cards for Sehwag now, maybe even 300? There is a lot of time for him to score that, you never know. 200 in one day though, a great effort from Sehwag!

Well, now he is out...
Beh, the Monk just wanted to give Yuvi a bat. Or maybe Adarsh jinxed him....
