India Team Discussion

Any update on the BCCI's Supreme Court case? Can’t find any recent news about it

Which one?

They have many running simultaneously- the proceedings with the ex-IPL franchisees, Lodha, something with Nimbus/ZEE...
The one about the amendments to their constitution, which would allow Dada and Jay Shah to stay in office

That will get passed- perhaps we ought to discuss this particular case in the 'India-Politics' thread for an in-depth analysis :lol

Who's gonna defend this bullshittery?

Ffs.

can't imaging the kind of diabolical tantrum the BCCI would throw if someone proper chose (foolishly) to play here
I am actually surprised at the PCB's audacity here to sanction a tournament named 'Kashmir Premier League'. I mean, that's an area which has been the bone of contention since ever. To actually lay claim on a piece of land, which is called as 'Pakistan Occupied Kashmir' and then start a league there- just wow!

Doesn't come as a surprise to me that the BCCI lashed out against its counterparts. This debate has been raging on Twitter as well and have come across some very foolishly worded tweets. Better to avoid controversy at any cost!

I think I am little too late to post about this. But what Kaif said made a lot of sense in there!!!! He is terribly mismanaged by the Indian team management as well as KKR in IPL.

Okay, it's not Pakistan Occupied Kashmir OR Indian Occupied Kashmir. India calls it the former and Pakistan calls it the latter, the official/neutral terms are Pakistan-administered Kashmir and Indian-administered Kashmir because as much as it may annoy some people to comprehend this, those areas of the disputed land are (in the current state) officially, lawfully, juridically governed by their respective governments.

I should point out, this isn't me trying to instigate any 'cOnTrOvErSy' in the name of Kashmir. I had to say what I said before to justify what I'm about to say next.

How is Pakistan sanctioning a T20 tournament in an officially governed part of a terrain any more audacious than India having a team from an officially governed part of a terrain in the Ranji Trophy?

Can't believe the PCB was actually mulling over including a team from Kashmir in PSL. Can't imagine the vitriol that would've induced. :facepalm

It wasn't a controversy until BCCI decided to make this a controversy.

Jammu and Kashmir in Ranji Trophy?
Pakistan can legally call it Kashmir Premier League, can BCCI legally threaten people?
Shouldn't this discussions be done in the General Cricket Discussion/Kashmir Premier League thread?

Because these things are not something that are related to Indian Cricket Team.
