We wouldn't be having a head coach.There is a batting coach,bowling coach and one for fielding fielding.Ravi would be the head of all these.So actually he would be the coach but would be called "team director".

Shashtri is not happy with the short extensions he is getting. Was watching NDTV right now, and a miffed Shashtri told a media person something like if someone told you okay do the job for one more month and then I will decide whether you still have the job after that or not how would you feel?

what miffed me about Shastri is that, as India's team director, he was analysing the ashes on sky in england...didn't he have another job he should be doing? something more pressing?

Yeah this point was discussed and there was some displeasure, but all said and done in all fairness he was with the squad before the test series started. He arrived late (3 days after the squad), but he did arrive before the first test got underway.

Just tuned into the TN Ranji match. That pitch is one of the ugliest cricketing pitch I have ever seen. How can anyone want to play on tht track is beyond me.

Meanwhile I gather Sehwag is destroying the attack in Pune.

First day of Ranji matches and Sehwag scored 92,Ravindra Jadeja 91 and Mandeep scored 100*.

Jadeja followed his 91 with 6/27 and 5/45 against Tripura and ended up being the MoM.

Picking the T20 team based upon ODI form & stat is crappy decision,hence my Indian T20 XI will be as follows,if we play in India & for WT20 next year.

Good team I must say.But based on conditions I think getting in someone like Mishra instead of Mohit can be thought.I would also try have Yuvi in my team instead of Yusuf.
