India tour of Bangladesh, 2022 (3 ODIs, 2 Tests)

That half chance, if taken, would have done so much good for India's chances of an innings victory. Miraz's technique could have been tested in the dying stages of the day.

Huge wicket this for Mushfiq. Brilliant bowling by the team. Now we need clean the tailenders up thick and fast rather than giving another chance to Miraz for even a slight comeback.

Excellent partnership by Miraz and Ebadot. I reckon India will bring their seamers on tomorrow morning and ask them to rattle the tail.

I feel the toss win for India will be playing a crucial role and that they have slight advantage despite losing 6 wickets and this could be the thing for next match as well (toss being crucial).
Winning toss in asian sub-continental truely blessed. BD no doubt will blow away vs Bounce & turn of Kookaburra ball, BD never get use too even in multiday game in their Domestic.

They have to learn.

Which ball did Bangladesh play with earlier? SG or Dukes?

SG mostly plus previous kookaburra banger get used too.

The previous Kookaburra ball had plain seam while this one (new Kookaburra) is a bit straighter. Apart from that, this ball takes a bit more time to get old. So obviously you have to take your time in the middle to get settled before going for your shots. It's not like you can go and whack the ball from the start because the behaviour of the ball is a bit different,"

Careful puji & Iyer put on 149 off 53 overs while Pant whack the ball.

Thanks for explaining. I guess the change was made by Kookaburra due to the fact that the balls didn't last long and there was some concern around the quality and longevity of cricket balls some time back.

One to go, expect MHM to go ballistics now.

I don't get this idea of "bowling short" to tailenders. It's one thing if you're an express bowler. You're basically minimizing the chances of getting a wicket. Why not bowl straight, bowl at the stumps and attempt to either induce an edge or LBW/bowled. Make the batsman play FFS.

The plan was clear with the first ball of the over against Gill who managed to put it down but KL fell into the trap of short ball directly onto the body from leg side.

Khaled is bowling like Wagner but Pujara is taking it on the body as if he is Cummins, Hazlewood or Starc. He needs to learn to sway away or duck if he doesn't want to play it. You will only make it harder for yourself if you keep getting hit on your body. That thing (ball) is a rock. Apply some brains, Puj!

Looks like Pujara can hear my thoughts. Good to see him attack the short ball.
