Brilliant batting by Zakir and Shanto today. They never really looked like getting out whilst batting together.

That foolish miss where the slip fielder (KL who else?) didn't go for Miraz's catch shows why fielding at slips is a specialist job just as it is for the point area. Forget about Kallis, Jayawardene, Warne or Dravid, I reckon Stokes or even Virat would have caught that considering that they have the experience of fielding there for quite a few matches now.

Clearly he has worked a lot on his game - when was the last time you saw him hit 5 sixes. Plus, I can still see him playing T20 domestically - so he hasn't given up hope on an IPL contract or the likes.

He’s an underrated white ball cricketer but I’d take those numbers from his RLOC stint with a big pinch of salt when they were against county 2nd XIs. He’s rightfully not played more white ball games for India.

We have half Dozen talented All rounder/ openers/ MDL order expert etc but they not have chance in White ball cricket.

Thanks for puji update of his county Stint.He used to pile up many runs in india in 4 day Ranji / Irani etc Games.

I was surprised other day he moved from 42 to 102* ( his 19th century)
In no time. I think those last 60 runs were same as his debut innings ( 2nd innings) vs Aus in india he hits 72 not out in under 1 hour.

After that he never bats like that. India Dropped him but after County success he is back
