Who will win the Test series?

Moeen has a 10-fer against India followed by a couple of 5 wicket hauls in Test matches. It wasn't about Leach but it's about playing against India.
It's irrelevant. If they wanted him in for his bowling he'd slready be there. They're just desperate for someone - anyone - to score runs alongside Joe Root

The opposition is irrelevant. England want five bowlers, to bat to nine and to have Broad and Anderson in the team. Leach doesn't fit into that, particularly in a four man attack. Moeen can, and has, bat anywhere in the side. In low scoring matches he could get a game-changing quick fifty a bit like Pant or Jadeja. He fills the Stokes/Woakes hole in the top seven.

I am excited to see how Bumrah performs at Lord's. This is the first time ever that he would be playing over there. I think the slope would help him a lot. So England need to be wary of this.

Exactly why test cricket is better in England. More to talk about. And with the rain stoppages, more time to talk about it.
On the contrary, we talked more about rain in this case.

No Broad.

Possibly no Anderson.

:noway
Fun fact: Draft in a debutant and you're very likely to have a stellar performance from him *

No Broad and Anderson would be a major blow for England though. However, Wood seems to be a good replacement. With so many niggles and injuries, it looks like Mo will be a certainty too.

For India, Shardul Thakur looks set to miss the 2nd Test, so there's one opening there. The big question is would Ashwin come back in his place or will India choose another seamer (Ishant to be fit by then??)

* only applicable when playing against India :p

Second test:

Leach v Ashwin

How does the weather forecast look for this test?

Is it going to be another shitfest of 3 days of investment as a fan and then no outcome?
