India tour of South Africa - 2013/14

Someone had just had a say about good umpiring. Well now we have a wrong decision. But no complaints as Zaheer gets his 300th :)

I feel Ashwin is going to be the x-factor for us in the last two sessions. He has been bowling well without a lot of luck. We need him to somehow nip off a couple of wickets if we harbor thoughts of winning. Its been a superb game so far. SA are still in this game though, still need less than 4 r.p.o to win.

Ashwin has bowled well to de Villiers and the offie is a key bowler as India look to win the Wanderers Test. He will be expected to do a lot of bowling in the post-lunch session.
All three results are possible as a famous Indian commentator would say. :)

Why does Dhoni waste his time giving Kohli a bowl, seriously, check his stats, and action, the guy can't bowl to save his life.
He has the worst stats I've ever seen, and is still being overused.

Dhoni`s decisions are bewildering. We are looking to win the test match and here is our captain, straight after lunch throwing it to Virat Kohli, allowing the batsmen to settle in during the uncomfortable initial moments at the start of a new session. Just wait and watch, this is going to bite us back. I can still see SA pulling of a world record chase if de Villiers is in till tea.

Man calm down.. Dhoni was waiting for the second new ball

I don't know which match you guys are watching but he was just saving our fast bowlers because the new ball was due 5 overs after the lunch.

I think India needs two quick wickets, otherwise this partnership will lead this match to a draw. Hope the new ball will help to break this partnership.

ABdV and Faf are making sure they don't throw away wickets now. Winning the match is next thing. If they both are still there until Tea, then 100 plus from 20 overs is not at all difficult. Sensible batting from both.

To see India fade away on the final day of an overseas Test where they had an upper hand, doesn't bring back happy memories. It's almost a sense of deja vu.
:noway

Hey, this is starting to get irritating now. You copied the last post entirely from a cricinfo comment. Please stop doing that.

Zaheer has been poor with the second new ball, Ishant is not getting any help from the surface and Ashwin can't take any wickets. The only bowler who looked like taking wicket today was Shami. It will be very disappointing if we lose this from here.

A SA win is more likely now as compared to an Indian win. SA are running the game now and not India. They can now go for a win and if they lose a couple of wickets, they always have people to just play it out.

du Plessis has had a good start to his career. I think he should bat up the order consistently once Kallis retires.

The only time India can get a wicket is right after tea because the batsmen have to get settled again. Dhoni needs to attack during that time. If he can't get a wicket, he needs to start aiming for a draw. If there are no early wickets after tea, negative tactics might stifle the South African batsmen into making an error in trying to play faster for a victory.

Also, I'm hoping we switch out Ashwin for Ojha next match.

When the day began we were looking for a clear win, some time later preventing a draw and now hoping not to lose!
