IIRC this isn’t as big of an achievement though. They once brought in Nagwaswalla because they needed someone to give them a left arm angle experience.

India's obsession with left-armers is unreal. We even hired lefthanded throw down specialist from Sri Lanka. That said, I am not really a big fan of the throwdowns, cannot simulate a real left-armer/match situation.

wht is the differance between icl and indian domestic
Both the Indian Cricket League (ICL) and the Indian domestic cricket scene involve cricket matches played in India, but they have several key differences:

Status and Recognition:

  • ICL: The ICL was an unsanctioned tournament held from 2007 to 2009. It operated outside the control of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and was not recognized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). This meant that players participating in the ICL faced bans from international cricket and other official tournaments.
  • Indian Domestic: The Indian domestic cricket scene, governed by the BCCI, encompasses various official tournaments like the Ranji Trophy, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, and Vijay Hazare Trophy. These tournaments are recognized by the ICC and contribute to the player ranking system.

Player Pool:

  • ICL: The ICL primarily featured retired or banned players from international cricket, alongside some promising young talents.
  • Indian Domestic: The Indian domestic circuit focuses on developing young talent and features aspiring cricketers, alongside established players who may not be part of the national team or are seeking to regain their form.

Quality and Competition:

  • ICL: The quality of cricket in the ICL was considered high, attracting established players and offering lucrative contracts. However, due to its unsanctioned status, it lacked the prestige and competitive environment of official tournaments.
  • Indian Domestic: The Indian domestic circuit holds a strong reputation for developing world-class talent and fostering intense competition, but may not offer the same financial incentives as the ICL did.

Legacy:

  • ICL: Despite its brief existence, the ICL is credited with raising player salaries, improving facilities, and promoting T20 cricket in India. However, its unsanctioned status ultimately led to its demise.
  • Indian Domestic: The Indian domestic circuit remains a crucial breeding ground for future stars and a platform for players to showcase their skills and earn national selection.

That’s a bot.

Comes out and makes such statements! He hasn't been in touch himself, rather expects the management should call him. Damn, Vihari got some unreal u expectations here.

As an Indian fan, apart from that BGT test, do not remember a single innings where he single handedly won it for the country. To be ultra fair, the BGT test was drawn, not won.

In his first game back from the U19WC, Musheer Khan scores a ton for Mumbai in the Ranji trophy quarters.

I thought this might be enough to bump his batting average above his brother's. Unfortunately he didn't perform that well in his first 3 FC games so his average is only hovering around 40 atm.
