Delhi to retain entire squad for 2023

In an extraordinary development, the Delhi Capitals have today confirmed that they will be retaining their entire Championship winning squad from the 2022 Indian One-Day Championship.


Literally the worst edit that has ever been made

"We are completely happy with our playing group," explained Delhi Capitals coach Darren Stevens, "and we see no reason to make any changes."

This means that Delhi Capitals will not be featuring in the 2023 Indian One-Day Championship Auction, sticking with their famous playing group built around star players that include Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Venkatesh Iyer, Rinku Singh, captain Ravichandran Ashwin, Rashid Khan, Pat Cummins and Mohammad Siraj. If they can keep this core fit, it will be hard to see past Delhi as Championship contenders for the second consecutive year.

Should they go back-to-back, it would be an unprecedented level of success for one group of players - coming just a year after the same franchise released every single one of its players ahead of the Mega Auction.
