It was a good start by bangalore thought they had lost 3 wickets but they had score 89 runs . Two experience players were there at the crease . Jacques Kallis who was looking in good form as well as Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene had just come to the crease . Bangalore needed 84 runs in 10 overs which never difficult in T20 cricket if they had wickets in hands and when you have some one like Kallis in such great form it was never difficult . Kallis looked in good shape and form as he belts Tait for a huge six over extra cover region . The runs were difficult to come by . Pollock was mixing his deliveries well but Tait was bowling the same line and length . Kallis smashed Tait for two consecutive boundaries through the third man region and brought down the run rate to 8 an over . Jayawardene was struggling to get runs of Pollock as he was bowling outstanding . Jaywardene tried to go over the top out of frustration but found the fielder at long on and well held by Robin Uthappa . the partnership of 55 runs was finally broken by Shaun Pollock . Ian Bell was the new man in and he got of the mark with a four mid on of the bowling of Tait .
Kallis was looking very dangerous as he raised his 50 with a great four over point . But finally he was clean bowled by Shan Tait and he departed for 55 of 41 balls . Dinesh Karthick was new man in . He and Bell rotated the strike . It was getting really tough to dispatch the slower balls bowled by Taylor and Bravo . Bangalore needed 48 from last 4 overs at 12 runs per over . It was difficult . Ian Bell and Dinesh Karthick decided to go over the top . Bell got a couple of sixes over cover region of Bravo and Karthick got a cheeky four with inside edge and a four in the extra cover region . This was going down to the wire . Finally Jerome Taylor got Karthick as he was caught at mid wicket by Tait . Bangalore needed 13 of 6 balls with Kumble and Bell at the crease . Taylor was given the last over by Ganguly . Bell got a out side edge which beat the fielder for 4 of the first ball . Taylor came back strongly by bowling 2 consecutive dot balls . Of the 4th ball Bell was able to take just a single and Kumble was on strike . 5th ball Kumble played and missed and they started running ball went to Gilly , Gilly just missed the stumps by a millimeter . 1 ball 7 runs needed . Bell smashed over cover but he was caught by Uthappa , oh no Uthappa's foot was touching the rope and so it was given six after consulting the 3rd umpire . Bangalore were able to tie the match and which means the match will go into bowl out .
What an exciting match for the spectator a tie in the first match itself .

Saurav ganguly had won the toss again and had decided to hit first . After long chat Ganguly decided to give his most experience bowler Brett Lee the chance to hit first . Brett Lee taking his run up and he missed the stumps by just an inch . It was a good length delivery and the ball just have bounce a little more . While Dale Steyn was handed over the ball by Rahul Dravid . Dale Steyn hits the stump with a perfect yorker and Bangalore lead 1-0 after 1 chance each .
