I read somewhere that today's pitch is more favorable to the spinners. So Chennai have 3 spinners while RCB has 2 (one is part timer). I dearly hope this doesn't effect us more in the middle overs.

And it does. Still Tahir and Jadeja to bowl. We are already 2 down.

RCB is now in Dhoni territory. It's a slow pitch with three spinners in his team. His field settings, the angles he will create on the field and the bowling plan will all be too much to handle for RCB batting in this match I feel.

Poor pitch for a T20 game and if a 40 year old lad who hasn't even played competitive cricket for a year comes and extracts a huge turn tells about the nature of pitch and yeah poor shot from ABD considering very inexperienced lower and middle order RCB having and clearly this is a 130-140ish wicket.

I agree about this being poor T20 pitch especially for a start of a long IPL season. I just realized that RCB gave away KL Rahul and Sarfaraz Khan.

They gave away Mandeep Singh as well this season to the same team KXIP. So half of RCB is now KXIP - Gayle, Rahul , Mandeep and Sarfaraz.

Even if Kohli had thought we would get a good score, how does he expect to win the match when Umesh and Siraj bowls the death over with inexperienced Saini ? Also I don't understand how he failed to read this pitch ?
