CDG and Hetmyer are proving to be liabilities for RCB. Gotta feel for Kohli here tbh. And he rightly said this is no club level cricket so the umpires should definitely have their eyes on such crucial things. All the technology and yet such things happen!
That was a big no ball. How did the umpire miss it? Not a RCB fan, nor a Mumbai fan although its my home town. Kohli is absolutely right, this is not grade cricket, this is IPL. Umpires should be more serious
Any captain in his situation would be furious. If on field umpire misses something like this, TV umpire should be in his ear straight away and should tell him to rectify the mistake.
What made Kohli even furious is the fact that if that ball had been called no ball, RCB would've needed 5 runs off 1 ball (free hit) and the batsman who faced that ball would've been ABD!!!
How one moment, with none of the players involved could change the way the IPL goes for the RCB. Unbelievable!
Okay, that happened, but the real reason for the loss of that game is what has been the cause of the loss for most games for Bangalore and that is their death bowling.
I think this was the best game (and I have watched them all) so far. It swung this way, that way all the time. Mumbai I think deserved their win. After AB's first innings in Chennai, I dropped him from my fantasy team. How wrong I was!
For boundaries, we go to the third umpire. Every run out/stumping appeal goes to him too. We have lately seen most catches where the fingers are on the ground go to him. When the bat touches the ground and the ball passes we go to the third umpire. There are reviews for lbw and caught behind. After every wicket, a no ball is checked by the third umpire.
What the fuc/< does an umpire even do? I think time has come to move to automation or to just let the on field umpires run the game. It will at least not slow down the game so much!
