At the Chinnaswamy, with Dr Russ in the opposition lineup and with a bowling/fielding attack like RCB, you needed 250+ to have a chance.

RCB are atleast 40 short here and it shows. I am going to go on a rant here and some ppl wont like it - Chinnaswamy has been a bowler's graveyard season after season after season after season after season after....... FRIGGIN SEASONS!!! And yet, one challenging pitch for batsmen at Chepauk (or wherever in India) and the pigeons are kicked furiously? What in the bloody... F! I'd recommend bowling machines at the Chinnaswamy and for batsmen to have shootouts.

Change the management of RCB, especially the bowling mentor - Nehra. All the tips he was giving to the bowlers throughout the match resulted in a boundary. Lol

Jesus Christ, that was total annihilation at the end. The game showed both the best and worst of Kohli too. He should have choked the game out of KKR’s reach when Negi was turning the ball so beautifully with another spinner like Moeen or even Chahal. Instead, the madman goes with Stoin and Saini. And Siraj, why on earth would you have him in the team and drop Umesh? Also, why would you have Southee play when NCN’s simply much better? Absolute horror show from the bowlers and fielders too. So many dropped catches that no other team would have even dropped.

I was thinking the same. He should have gone with Moeen instead of going to Saini and Stoinis.

Well NCN isn't available till 13th of April. And to fair Siraj had a decent first 2 games compared to Umesh.

I don't think anyone could have stopped Dre Russ. He is a monster !

I'm not talking about today's game only. Our bowlers have been horrible in most of the games starting from last season. After seeing the performances of last season, we should've changed our bowling unit completely.

Now that I am all settled, this was one fantastic match for KKR. The pitch was a batting paradise and we did good restricting them to 200 runs when it looked AB and Virat could have gone on to score 100 each.

Our batting started well with Lynn and Robbie giving us yet again a fantastic momentum to build on, the middle overs and loosing wickets successively did not help. Karthik is playing under pressure is what I feel. Even Russ mentioned in the post match interview that he said "Sorry, hope you are not angry". You are good Karthik, play your natural game.

Loved how sensibly Gill just flicked it off for a single and did not try becoming a hero by scoring a six or four. Youngsters now a days think every one can be a Dhoni so a good change to see from Gill. Russ the man, 200 runs in 77 balls so far in IPL and that is just one heck of batting.

Well NCN isn't available till 13th of April. And to fair Siraj had a decent first 2 games compared to Umesh.

A shame then. NCN’s the bowler RCB desperately need, although given how Kohli’s utilizing his bowlers this season, even he might end up leaking runs.

Umesh was poor in the previous game, but I think he’s not been used properly this year. Last year, Kohli bowled 2-3 of his overs in the powerplay and only bowled him at the end ocassionally, with only one over usually if at all he bowled. He was one of the best bowlers in the powerplays last season as a result. Apart from the previous match (where he admittedly wasn’t good), I don’t think he’s really been bowled to his strengths. Kohli should probably follow Dhoni’s example with Chahar and use Umesh in a similar manner, backing him for a few games in a row. I would be pretty surprised if Siraj plays the next game anyway, given that he also ended up with two dropped catches in addition to his ejection.

What? I remember the last season CSK vs RCB match where RCB scored 200+ and CSK chased it with incredible ease. Chinnaswamy has almost always been a bowler's graveyard.

Every season, you have these 230-250 worth wickets at Chinnaswamy and no one bats an eyelid against it and on the contrary, they enjoy it. But one game where the batting side is shot out for 70 odd (though with decent batting, they could've got 110) and everyone kicks up a storm on the pitch.
