Indian Premier League - General Discussion

All set to go in game 15. Mumbai lead Chennai 5-3 in head to head. Average first innings is 163. With his knowledge of Wankhede I am surprised Harbhajan is not selected. Santner is dropped and we could see Mohit bowling to Rohit as MSD wins the toss and CSK will field.

This is all going swimmingly at 50-3.

I had a dilemma in fantasy League to choose De Kock or Dhoni - so pleased I backed MS!

Wickets for Chahar, Jedeja and Tahir.

Also nice to hear our fans loud in the crowd - very good vocal support.

Good decision to bring Mohit in for Santner. Mohit with his cutters and back of the hand deliveries, will be good (hopefully) in death overs. And I think two spinners are enough at Wankhede and you cant drop Jadeja from CSK and Tahir was in great form last game. And see now, he is bowling well again today.

I have a feeling CSK will mostly play only 3 overseas guys for this season. Very rare but CSK have somehow got the local talent to do it.

Is the pitch not a great one for batting? Normally Wankhede is a batting beauty. This run rate from MI belies that. I am not watching live, so I cant say. And how the hell did Dhoni not finish off Chahar early today? He still has an over left?

I am surprised that this is happening few games down into the IPL. Being the CAB president, how can Ganguly be an advisor to Delhi Capitals? He cannot be holding two positions like that, and that's what is being pulled up here. I personally think Ganguly should not be advisor of Delhi Capitals. If CAB owns a franchise, then Ganguly can advise it. But other than that, I cant see how Ganguly can be involved in IPL.

Not happy with them getting a slightly above par total but what super-power hitting from Hardik and Kieron - fantastic entertainment whichever team you are rooting for.

Maybe Chahar would have been a wiser choice for that final over.

Rayadu gone first ball - showing once again why I have given him up in my fantasy team selection.

Also, conceding 50 runs in the final three overs is unacceptable.

Then again, if you are going to bowl like Thakur and Bravo did, it is unavoidable.

1 for 1 and game on.

14 for 2 after 3. Even Dhoni won't be able to dig us out of this hole we have dug for ourselves.

Are you a new entry to the CSK fan club? If yes, you're in for a roller coaster ride always whenever CSK plays. Welcome!

Mumbai has always been tough to play for CSK. There are probably the only team in IPL that have a positive head-2-head record against CSK. Last season, the opening match was against MI and CSK went to the depths of despair and no return, before they were brought back up sensationally by DJ Bravo. So dont count us out

Game. Over.

Actually I'm switching channels now to watch the football.

I'm not interested in watching my team who aren't even trying.

Well played Mumbai Indians.

Looks like this is out of CSK's reach. 21 runs per over for the last 3 overs looks too huge, even for DJ Bravo. And you still have an over of Bumrah and Malinga. And as I say this, Jadhav's gone.

Horrible defeat. But much needed. Everything cant be rosy for CSK. Bravo's death bowling form was bad even last season and it looks like nothing's changed. Ngidi's loss will be felt this season. I am not sure who can cover up for Ngidi.

Looks like Bravo is not even trying? He can atleast get the NRR in damage control here.
