Indian Premier League - General Discussion

150 can be a tricky chase but just hope SRH can chase this down without any stutters. If we win tonight, I wouldn't rule SRH out for a tough bout with MI again in the final. Just need to bat smart without any pressure now.

You don't get to reverse jinx the masters of the reverse jinxers themselves. :p
No I meant it and see how SRH has batted. Brilliant, the reason their NRR is so high.

Warner in form is a very scary animal indeed. Genuinely feel like they are the only team that has played fearless cricket in recent days not called Mumbai.

Saha has been the player SRH needed to turn this season around... He has been fantastic in his batting and his keeping

The whole look of this side changed once Bairstow was dropped and Warner started batting like Warner and why did that happen?

Because Warner now knows there's enough flesh on the bone in the middle order in case he fails.

Time for Kohli to open and Moeen Ali to bat 4. It will enable AB as well to lay a platform for a more organised assault.

People asking RCB to be scared? SRH should easily win and it is actually RCB that have nothing to lose. The fear should be in the orange corner not vice versa.

Another clinical performance by SRH. Makes you kind of wonder if they peaked at the wrong time. With 3 consecutive wins and convincing ones at that, the numbers game is sure to catch up to them. But playing RCB is somewhat of a relief as they are a little more inconsistent when compared to MI and DC, especially when the stakes are high.

Fixing claims will always be there... With so many people following there are bound to be some with right predictions

I also knew that MI, RCB and DC will reach playoffs.

According to few keyboard warriors of social media, IPL is fixed.

e.g.
According to CSK fans -

When CSK wins -
Dhoni! Dhoni! Best Captain! Best Finisher!
Mahi maar rha hai (Mahi is hitting) etc.

When CSK loses-
The match was fixed. Ambani bought umpires. Umpires should be given MOTM award. etc.

Not only CSK fans, but fans of other teams also says that the match was fixed whenever their team lose.

How can every ball of every match be fixed?

I could have told you half of that based on simple logic such as

  • Chennai's ageing squad being out of their element in the UAE.
  • Kohli not being the same force in T20s for quite some time.
  • Rajasthan's lack of Indian core and a captain who makes clueless decisions at the helm.
  • Punjab underperforming under a new coach and management, a tale as old as time.
  • The team with the best batsman in the IPL and the only side to make every playoff since 2016 potentially winning the whole thing.

Doesn't really need a genius to predict anything. Scroll back a few pages and you're bound to see users predict the events of a game before they occur too. As @Yash. says, when you have a million people making all sorts of predictions some are bound to stick.

Despite of MI losing like they did yesterday to SRH I still somehow believe that they are just too good this time so there are high chances of them winning this IPL. I can say that MI are well on their way to Final. I don't expect DC to suddenly produce good performance after being so poor towards the end.
