And Kohli? What has he is done? Hypocrisy. At least AB was there, Kohli didn't even last 10 balls.

Seems like he is covering up for Kohli.

But covering up he is making such moronic statement by attacking the Team's best batsmen by far over the last 3 years.(The couple of post above is just a proof of that where ABD won like 8 moms of the 18 matches RCB managed to win).

Just look at the faces of Deep Das Gupta & Ojha , they are like WTF Dude?

And 13 seasons for RCB? Man with a phd can't even seem to figure out how long a particular played for one franchise.ABD played since 2011 for RCB which makes what 9 years not 13 years.

Delhi have some big questions looming over the look of their lineup.

  • Shaw looks like a walking wicket at the moment. The best he could do is score a couple of streaky boundaries before being dismissed. IF he fires (and that is a big if), he relieves the team of enormous pressure to score quickly and allows Dhawan a breather. I don't see that happening against a well drilled SRH bowling lineup but stranger things have happened.
  • Rahane's already got his customary T20 innings out of the way for this season. A lack of alternatives means that he does have to play. Hope Delhi ask him to play aggressive cricket instead of sticking around trying to catch up later.
  • Stoinis has to be batting in the top three at the least like Styris mentioned. He is very good when he starts off in the powerplay and with how lackluster the rest of the batsmen have been, it would be madness to just leave him as insurance policy.
  • I think Hetty has to play. He is too good a batsman to leave out in the first place and could be key in tackling Rashid Khan and Nadeem. Seems like both Deshpande and Sams concede the same number of runs at the end of the day, might as well play the former or even Harshal Patel to strengthen the batting depth. Stoinis can chip in with more overs.
  • Shreyas and Pant both look terribly out of form. Pant was struggling before his injury but at least he was a bit stable with a few boundaries. Right now it seems like he gets out or mistimes any aggressive shot when attempted and is not good enough an accumulator to compensate otherwise too. Shreyas looks really restricted at the moment, it is hard to believe that this was the same batsman that scored 80 odd runs in Sharjah. At least when Samson was out of nick he wasn't struggling for timing or intent. I would even bat Shreyas at five and ask him to just slog to get some momentum and confidence. Pant at the moment is almost ineffective with the bat, at six he can either hit out or get out.

  1. Dhawan
  2. Rahane
  3. Stoinis
  4. Hetmyer
  5. Shreyas
  6. Pant
  7. Axar
  8. Harshal/Deshpande
  9. Ashwin
  10. Rabada
  11. Nortje

This would be my lineup, with Shreyas and Hetty being fairly fluid in terms of positions.

Pant's hamstring ruined their rhythm.

I wish PlanetCricket does not turn into Twitter or Facebook. If you feel someone is being hypocrite, SAY IT!! We can constructively argue. Also the Indian memes without context, won't resonate with the non-Indians.

This forum has been the place for some very classy cricket discussions. If we can keep it at that, it would be awesome.

There's a report button if you feel my post doesn't meet your "high standards", you don't get to tell me how I can post.

Those guys are bringing up the stupid "South Africa and chokers" thing with ABD. I mean, there are South Africans in other IPL teams who have tasted title successes (De Kock with MI; Faf Du Plessis / Ngidi with CSK, etc.). That Boria guy has spoken trash, and I feel its best to not give him the attention.

I didn't report it because based on my history of not having any arguments with you, I thought I could post my opinion (which is what I did, if you noticed the "if", "I wish", "would be awesome" words). Now that you've given me a clear picture of the kind of poster that you are, I will make use of the Report button (and the Ignore User feature of PC) going forward with you and your posts.

I don't know how such an experienced & knowledgeable person have come out on media to speak a load of trash like that. This man have written a book on one of the greatest players in the world(Sachin) beautifully describing each and everything that happened with Sachin in his career. I was shocked to hear someone like him use such words for someone like AB. :facepalm

Now that both RCB and Punjab are out, I hope somehow Delhi manages to get their players back in form and pull off. They have a solid team but they lost the plot in the second half of the tournament.

Pretty much my feelings. Could do with a new winner and I also don't want to see Kane Williamson in another final and lose.

You know everyone is feeling the same thing right now. All of us Cricket fans need a new Champion for this IPL so as to just avoid that one team dominance and the predictability in the tournament. I believe somewhere all of us have a soft corner for DC because of the number of youngsters in the team and Iyer's Captaincy. That guy is just a very humble person as long as I have seen him in the Cricket field. I would definitely want either of SRH or DC to win this year's IPL despite being an MI fan. But also I wouldn't want to see a boring one-sided game with everything going into the favour of just one side. If I be frank, SRH in the Final would be a better opposition to beat MI than DC.
