Had said last year a lot of times that Raina is IPL Gold/Yellow!!!

Best Indian batsman of the team was out last year. The team was bound to suffer. And Harbhajan's loss was vastly underrated too.

Horror run out.. absolutely horror! I know Jadeja is new at crease and fresh but he should have sacrificed for Raina who was looking really good.

If Raina can continue batting this way, it will be a different season for CSK compared to last time,

CSK should've played Uthappa today. He does play well against the bouncing ball unlike most the the CSK batsmen who are used to the sluggish Chepauk pitch.

Jadeja did look rusty there, coming after that injury layoff. But Sam tore into his brother Tom, winning the intra-family rivalry to lift CSK to a very good score (touchwood). After that horrid start, it felt like deja vu' but this ending to the innings must gladden the hearts of the fans

Hope the bowlers can keep it tight... Curran and Shardul are coming off a great ODI series and I am backing them to take CSK over the line on this.

He's learning from Dhoni on the art of finishing and shows ample potential to repeat the same for himself in England colors. I hope he doesn't do much against India in the coming years. He has a cool personality to back his skills and thats the crucial component for a long and cherished career. Many players show skills but the personality doesn't let them go far enough. This guy should, with his personality!

Raina was excellent today, hope this is a sign of things henceforth. Him and Rayudu could be deadly versus spin.

@LiveLoveABD harsh on Faf but I agree that things don't look good for him if Mo can bring his confident side out. Tahir has to play surely given he is the only wrist spinner in the team. Not so sure about Ali and Jadeja being our main spinners long-term.

Exactly. I don't mind Faf. I just think there's a sameness about the batting line up and CSK over do the stability act. I think it worked for ten odd years but in today's time if you start slow on a flat deck you are always chasing the game.

I also have no idea what Jadeja was doing tonight. I know people will throw numbers on my face but I'm a huge Jadeja fan and I just don't think his finish was up to the mark. Yes, he's making a comeback but he's huge for CSK's chances.

Sam Curran at 8 and Bravo at 9 with Thakur in the side at 10 and Deepak Chahar as Jack who's won a game for the franchise with the bat just shows imbalance there.
