FFS how can you let Warner out of all players go for the second cheapest price in the marquee set?! Ponting is absolutely gonna turn him into a monster and Pant will definitely appreciate his tactical input. Davey can also play his own game safely with Shaw playing the boisterous opener role and Pant to follow.

I guess CSK didn't pursue him hard because of "Chepauk" (for 2023/24?). After having lost out on Faf and QDK, could've gone harder.

Chepauk meaning the spin factor? Warner is an excellent player of spin if that is the worry, better than Quinny at the least.

RCB's Faf buy is definitely a place filler of ABD... we needed a player who can match ABD and we got one... but Warner 6.5cr is a good and steal buy for DC...

With all due respect to Faf, he isn’t anywhere near AbD. I’d look towards Maxi if you want someone closer to AbD’s ilk.
