CSK giving 2020 vibes.
Umesh was a good powerplay bowler. RCB did not use him properly.I think RCB should be officially declared a pilgrimage for flop players. If someone from Indian team is not performing well, send them to RCB and after a season or two he is ready to be the next star.
Here is a question: What was the reason behind retaining Dhoni?Since Dhoni was retained as the 2nd player (which is 12 crores), when Dhoni calls it a day, CSK get 12 crores added to their purse.
Here is a question: What was the reason behind retaining Dhoni?
In the last few years, his batting hasn't been the same. I'd never question his leadership or keeping skills. Now that he is no longer captaining the team, I am not sure if spending 12 crores on him was the right move. Especially if you're trying to build a team for the next few years, I can also understand Dhoni's importance to the brand and the revenue he will bring. They could, however, have offered him a mentoring role, so Dhoni could still be part of the team, and they could have used the 12 crores to acquire a couple of good young players at the auction. I don't even want to go into their reasoning behind buying players like Bravo and Uthappa.
Jadeja has been a great player recently, but I wouldn't say he is a leader.
And he scored more runs and took more wickets than those 3.Jadeja at 5 means putting him in the category of Maxwell,Stoinis, Stokes, etc. Jadeja is not even close to them.
When? And he scored more runs and took more wickets than those 3.

Jadeja always a good batsman... He scored 2 or 3, 300+ in Ranji Trophy in his earlier days, unfortunately he didn't get the chance to bat at that position in INDIA or in CSK...Jadeja at 5 means putting him in the category of Maxwell,Stoinis, Stokes, etc. Jadeja is not even close to them.
In IPL, Jadeja have scored more runs than Maxwell, Stoinis & Stokes. And he also got more wickets. Maxwell was an IPL failure before last season, while Stoinis hasn't fired much. Stokes have been really average with his returns. When?
