Bowling looks very weak. Tushar is a bad choice. Jadeja has become a batting all-rounder (his bowling average has gone up +7 in the last 3-4 years). Harsha was right in pulling up Jadeja for his downturn in bowling. On a flat pitch, he’s literally toothless.

Need Bravo magic. Hopefully Pretorius bowls tight like he is known for! This is running away.

I don’t quite understand bringing in Pretorius if he‘s supposed to be batting below Bravo who himself can barely bat these days.

Also is Theekshana so bad that he doesn’t play ahead of our Indian debutant?

Conway’s axing also seems a tad harsh although it probably is best for team balance if it means Uthappa opens with Mo at three.

3 spinners is a luxury in these conditions. That’s why Theekshana isn’t playing. I hear Jordan isn’t 100% (from Twitter). The choice of Mukesh is a left arm variety thing.

I doubt Conway is coming back in to XI until Deepak returns. Makes sense to play overseas bowlers until Deepak comes. Too much riding on that 14c guy

I said this last season and we somehow managed to mitigate the fact but someday our lack of an attacking spinner will be the downfall of this side. They've become ubiquitous in every T20 lineup and for us to not even try one seems baffling to me.

I don't know about Mukesh so cannot comment on him but I did think Simranjeet Singh would have been ahead of him considering the raw pace the bloke possesses. Or maybe said pace was the reason he wasn't favoured here given that it seems slower balls seem the way to go?
