CSK trying to create a Badrinath out of Jagadeesan. He's clearly not a middle order player. The boy is an effective opener for Tamil Nadu in domestic T20's. More like Uthappa, who finds it uncomfortable anywhere below No. 3. If they really wanted to not play him at No. 3 or above, they should've instead tried Senapati who is known more as a middle order batsman.

Dhoni all set to continue next season and most likely remain as captain for next season too. I guess they'll give Ruturaj the captaincy in 2024, which will be the ideal thing to do (or find a captain in the mini auction - very tough thing to do). I hope they dont try the "make Rutu the captain while Dhoni is still playing" thing.

Really liked Solanki. Got two wickets by flighting the ball and inviting the batsmen to hit it. At that moment, he could've played safe and come out of the game with decent figures but 0 wickets. But he gambled and got hit but also got wickets in equal measure. Needs backing next season.

Pathirana looks exciting for next season. From the praise he has already gotten from Dhoni in the post match interviews, they're retaining him 2000%.. Remains to be seen who they release from the team to fit Pathirana (coz he came in as an injury replacement to Milne). I guess Jordan will be released, as Jordan and Pathirana are both death bowlers. Yes, Jordan is a batter too, but he's used almost fully for bowling. I wish Bravo takes his decision soon. If he calls it quits, he can be bowling coach and CSK get 4.5c back in their purse. Same with Rayudu, who retired and then took it back. If he is let to retire, CSK get another 6.75c back. I cant see Jagadeesan or Hari Nishaanth play unless they are allowed to open. If Conway can bat at No. 3, then open the batting with Ruturaj and Jagadeesan. But already the Rutu-Conway pair has grabbed headlines. Lots of headaches in the batting department for CSK due to their mega auction performance.

Will Jadeja be let go, or will he ask to be relieved? I hope not as he can still add big value as a player.

P.s: Maybe N Srinivasan should extend an olive branch to Suresh Raina and get him in as fielding coach. Whenever Raina is not in the team, we don't qualify for playoffs. Get him back in, but in the staff department. I know Srinivasan is pissed off when Raina left the team in 2020, but we also won in 2021 and he stayed through and even till date, the guy's heart beats for CSK (seeing his pre-match IPL chats on Star Sports).

Also add Haydos as an analyst in the team since he seems too concerned about how CSK is performing these days.

Actually for the first time, I want to see RCB in the playoffs and maybe even in the final. They have the good guys this time in Dinesh Karthik and Faf Du Plessis. Also Kohli seems a lot mellowed down post-captaincy and I'm sorta liking him.
