Indian Premier League - General Discussion

Yeah, I know but why do you mention that here in this forum, has anyone called him here that?

Or just social media reference you're putting it.
Sorry if it was offensive

Even better in his Yorkshire accent.

Well I hope he doesn't take social media seriously and its trolls and this is just a joke or banter.

Because every time he fails from now on he is gonna be brutally torn apart by these ridiculous social media fan bases

Guess he is still young will get matured by time and would know better what to say or not in media especially about the trolls.

That is happening irrespective of his response to them. There will always be trolls who have nothing better to do than insert jibes and make snide remarks whilst sitting on their floors. I'd rather more players call out on the crap so that we see some collective long-term efforts towards the creation of better online places for the sake of mental health in the future.

Why didn't Thakur bowl in yesterday's game? Poor stuff from Rana/Pandit

Don't think he was fully fit.

To emphasise how bad and utterly ridiculous of a decision it was... Rawat faced forty seven deliveries in the last SMAT. He could not hit a single six out of those forty six balls and only managed four boundaries. That's one in nearly every twelve deliveries you face. His highest score from six matches was a mighty thirteen which was against Manipur team that won only once by the barest of margins in that season. He averaged 6.8 in the campaign and scored thirty four runs.

But here's the best part of them all... Rawat is an opener. That means he has these hideous numbers despite batting in the powerplay and it also means that RCB sent him despite knowing that with the death overs approaching. Not everyone is a Stoinis or Wade who can adapt from facing powerplay pace to death overs pace and still contribute (and I hated armchair analysts calling it a genius move then when there's a huge difference in the type of deliveries you face in both phases from the same bowlers). Rawat's definitely not anywhere close to the talent of either of them and he isn't anywhere near a hitter in the mould of Hasaranga or even Parnell both of whom possess much superior career strike rate numbers despite having played a lot more games and starting out as primarily bowlers.
