Indian Premier League - General Discussion

What was Warner and Ishant doing there? You have a review for a no ball and you have 1 review left, JUST TAKE IT!!!

This is on Dhawan (Shit Captain) & Atharva Rahul (Mr. Fu*k S/R 2.0)

Dhawan has been beyond atrocious this season as a captain.

Punjab had a decent squad this season if only they were led well and picked a proper XI.

And not playing Sikander Raza most of matches is beyond me.

Out of the 6 wins he was solely responsible in 2 matches for getting them out of the line ( vs LSG an attacking 50 on a slow turner and vs CSK scoring those crucial runs in the last over).

Lots of teams discovering that colours other than blue exist

Wearing the jersey of Kolkata’s beloved football club against a cricket team from the same city just because your owner happens to own said club’s trademark/rights is a special kind of rich people’s phallus waggery.

Yeah I was like why aren't Kolkata doing that.

Not sure what the thinking is in not playing Umran Malik.

And the squad selection of SRH is extremely bad.

They can just fix the squad by shuffling the XI.

Markram
Brook
Triphathi
Klaseen
Philips
Abhishek Sharma
Samad

Thats a solid top 5 in any t20 lineup.

And on top of that skipper Markram has no idea about his squad selection and his players.

SRH management is easily the worst. Imagine tinkering with Abhishek Sharma's position after him being their highest run-scorer last season.

They went from having too many openers to too many middle order batters.

I don't really understand the hype surrounding Umran. He hasn't really set the stage on fire like Bumrah did.

When Umran wasn't selected for the WT20, a lot of eyebrows were raised. Ditto with SRH. IMO, he is a decent pacer, but isn't an assured selection for any team.

FYI, Bumrah never really set the stage on any sort of fire in his initial days.

Infact struggled to be in playing XI most of the time in the first 3 years playing for MI till 2015.

His performances for Gujarat in the domestic be it list A or FC paved way for his selection in the Indian squad for the WT20 back in early 2016.

And Umran Malik has that pace of around 145+ consistently and thats really set him apart to be atleast in the IPL playing XI where surrounded by a plethora of medium pacers.
