Chennai's bowling still looks like the weakest part. If their batting fails they wont be competitive.

I don't think Bhajji is a good captain, something about him...I think they need Tendulkar back.

I'm proud of my team even though we lost...

Well played Nayar, he deserves his ODI cap at least...

like the commentator said they made the mistake when they took the single of the no ball. if they had stayed than Nayar would have had the strike and a free hit.

/\It's not that bad.

Have you seen Kumar Sangakkara's domestic record before they selected him?

There were less expectations of keepers from a batting perspective at the time.

Also, t20 isn't a fully accurate representation of a player's ability.

That was Damn Close!

@Icy:
Now Sachin would have make difference as He would have manage at least 6 runs.:p

Good win for Chennai, but it was too close.

Dhoni's selection of Joginder for the final over is predictable. He should do that occasionally. CSK's bowling looks pretty weak. When are Ntini and Morkel coming? Why is L Balaji not being played?

First of all I don't think Bhajji is a best option to lead.
Jaya or Pollock would have done better.
Due to past few days I thought Batting second makes you favorites for match and Actually that was the case.
Even Rajastan has beaten Punjab by that and today nearly Mumbai has done same.

So I think Captain's job is clear,Win the toss and go for field.
From now I am looking forward who will win the toss and elect to bat first.

Gony proved today that he is a good bowler, so he should stay. I can't see Joginder being dropped(we can't drop him until someone like Ntini gets here and even then I doubt it happening), and Amarnath is definitely going to have to be replaced, if Balaji isn't fit, then I would even go as far as playing Ashwin, another spinner.

Gony has even impressed me more than Sreesanth.
He was so calm as a Bowler.
I think his opening spell was crusel in the match as it was drametic end.
Nayar was awesome.
At last I have seen our domestic players performing and contributing in win.

Anyways hopefully Sachin will be back next time, and we just proved that we are capable of doing well in this tournament, with Sachin me reckons we would have won...

What a six by Matty Hayden!!

Go Hayden!!

Go Chennai!!

Ben and I are supporting the same team, I never thought this day would come!

:p

Nayar is a fantastic player. He's a hard hitter of the ball, he can bat majestically, and bowls handy medium pace. His fielding is brilliant too, he's an awesome allrounder!

I think first class stats are a better judge of players.

Batting:
Code:
17 23 0 983 152 42.73 1268 77.52 3 4 117 19 5 0

Bowling:
Code:
17 32 2783 1229 42 5/100 5/54 29.26 2.64 66.2 0 1 0
