lol..
Was he supporting Chennai or Hayden??
Anyway IPL is on its best.
People are looking for their favorites players and by that indirectly they are supporting different teams which they never know.
Menas What does it make difference to Ben,who wins Chennai or Mumbai?
But He was supporting Hayden and Chennai..:p

He was not fit. Thats what Sehwag said at the toss.

That aint good news :( Better not be serious.

Oram giving up allot in his 3 overs, and I agree with you sid Ghoni looks really good.

He's opening the bowling. They have some problems there. He isn't fast enough. He's used to being 3rd or 4th bowler. They should have bid on someone who could bowl pace. Every other team has opening bowlers.

I think it will be big risk though if they bat first or they chases high total then they can try it.
Rather I love to see Afridi slogging the last overs.
I think Main purpose behid Afridi is his bowling. He bowls lethal deliveries.
Though I still belive he is the only man who can make new unbreakable record of fastest 100.:p

We have Ntini and Albie Morkel who are playing in South Africa. Once they arrive, our bowling department will be alot stronger.

But, the same time they touch down in India the Aussies leave, leaving our batting weakened.
Fleming would have to step it up, and looking at how well Hayden (81 today) and Hussey (116* against Punjab), he has alot on his hands.

The domestic middle order, Raina and Badrinath especially, are good enough to take care of our batting. In the opening slot we have Anirudha Srikanth, Kris Srikanth's son, who bats just like his dad. If Fleming can open we'll have a good balance in our side.

Anirudha
Fleming (1)
Badrinath
Raina
Dhoni (C) (WK)
Morkel (2)
Vidyut / Mukund
Joginder Sharma
Gony / Balaji
Mularitharan (3)
Ntini (4)

That's probably the best side we can field when the Australian's leave. Oram just hasn't looked lethal as a bowler, probably for the reasons mentioned by irrotev. His batting is explosive, though. He'll be my twelfth man.

He isn't a wicket taking type bowler. e's a back up. Good to hear they'll get Ntini and Morkel, though i'm not sure Ntini has been playing that well in the shorter forms lately. Hopefully he can use his good test form.

It really doesn't matter if he's been doing well or not. He's a better bowler then Amarnath!

In the end it's going to come down to Oram vs Morkel, and on current batting and bowling form Morkel should get the tip.

even though deccan chargers have some brilliant players i still think they are the most unbalanced side.

very true gambino,

even though the whole batting line up is reknowned for hitting it doesnt mean they make big scores. Only one batsmen has the license to go for it while the other balances the situaion by getting quick singles and stuff and etc.. (perfect example would be the opening game where mccllum assaulted while the other batsmen made sure he was there at the end of the innings.)

other problem is laxman coming down at no.3 where an explosive start can be difffused by thier own teammates like laxman who just looks for singles. The best thing to do would be open with laxman and gilly and send afridi 1st drop and then venugpal rao and the rest where the power hittinh can take place.

I think overall they need someone at 1st or 2nd down who can steer a innings.
Laxman is not appropriate because He can't play blasting innings so in case of early 1st wicket other batsman has to go for quick runs and there starts the Collapse.
I still don't think there is a place for Laxman in that team anywhere.
But someone like Symonds or Afridi can do that job better.

Rajastan will go with lots of confidence as they have defeated one of the most over rated team of the tournament.Plus Smith to join them will certainly do business for them.

Geez the Aussie players are going well in this tournament. Now if only the selectors can pick the right players for the 20/20 WC.

I'm baffled as to why that wicketkeeper Patel is playing over Stephen Flemming in the first place.

Because the IPL rules suggest that you can only have a maximum of four overseas players in any playin XI.

Oh please at least he would have make more than that 6crore man.
Anyway Who cares?
I don't want Sachin to play.He is country man not a Money man.:p

The 6 crore man is doing wonders. What is Tendulakr doing ? Just raking in the money w/o playing ? :p

Anyways, you need to get your priorities clear-whether you want him to play or not.Just 5 pages back you say -you want him to play at any cost.
Now,you dont want him to play. :D

Harbhajan down, might not be a big loss for Mumbai considering how he captained today. If sachin is not back for next game i expect Sanath to captain.

Yeah, then they would win a match atleast.

I'd like to see Saurabh Tiwary and Gaurav Dhiman playing for Mumbai.

Murali is a pure B****** i have never seen any bowler playing mind games like that :cutit

Hey,the outfield was wet and Murali had trouble holding the ball.Any spinner would have pulled back,They are not mind games, mind you...
