Geez Bangalore team is a shamble. The top 4 was shocking for chasing a massive total. Should have promoted White to 3, Boucher maybe opening.

Great knock from McCullum simply amazing hitting, if he does that in the ODI form of the game the World has got problems.

What a match for Kolkata.

Ganguly's captaincy was amazing. He changed the bowlers around brilliantly and himself did a good job with the ball. The team was a very tight unit, even Ricky Ponting cracking jokes with Ganguly!

Sharma's bowling was good to start out with, Agarkar did the job in the middle overs. An Indian fan would like to see him fail, though, as if he even gets a mile close to the Indian team he'll be in it for another 3 years.

I thought Saha, the wicket keeper, was brilliant. Awesome takes down the leg side and a good pair of hands - as good with the gloves as Dhoni.

And finally, Brended McCullum. What an innings, take a bow. The top score was 153*, the next highest - 20.


The Royal Challengers need to sort out there game plan. They went into this as if it were a test match with the lineup used.

Inspite of Bangalore's shocking capitulation, this is one of the most explosive starts to a highly hyped tournament with the entertainment being almost UNBELIEVABLE!!!! The laser show was outstanding, McMullum's hitting was violent and awesome.....

Definitely the matches should start having more contests as the tournament goes on (T20 will have the feature where any team can win). But this was possibly the best start that the organisers were looking for. The crowds were full too.

Tomorrow is my home team's game. Dhoni, come on! Beat the hell outta Mohali! We dont want to see you play a captain's innings. Shun out those reponsible knocks, and bring out your 'A' class stuff of pure brutal hitting.

Yeah. I was like, what's going on?

Kolkata is my new second favorite team, tied with DC. I don't know who i'll support if it was Chennai vs Kolkata, probably my home team but the Knight's have such an exciting team!

Imagine how much McCullum would have hit if it was an ODI?

Kolkata isn't as great as people are making it to be. Imaging if McCullum wasn't so lucky on those edges. We might have seen a different result. But McCullum played one hell of an innings! Awesome knock!

It was Bangalore Royal Challengers they were facing. Kolkata would have still won, although not as comprehensively. McCullum scored the most runs but he also had the strike for 12 overs. The other batsmen didn't have the opportunity to score.
Also, if you open with Jaffer and Dravid in a T20 the opposition isn't going to take you seriously.

omkarjere is right.Team Bangalore is full of test players.When you open with Dravid and Jaffer [I dont understand why they selected him],you cannot expect to chase to 223.

They could have opened with Cam White and Mark Boucher.
