Jammu Centurions' innings was just a two-men show. Captain Andrew Strauss scored 70 runs and Youngster Saurabh Tiwary coming in at no. 6 played well for his 61 runs. Centurions were off to a real bad start and were 46/4 after 6 overs. Strauss and Tiwary had a brillaint partnership and eventually Jammu set a competetive total for Ahmedabad boys.
Did I say a competetive total? Well,Ahmedabad batsmen thought they had nothing to chase down. They just came in and walked out one after the other. They lost half their side with just 25 runs on the board. Sreesanth ran into 95ers and they could never get out of the shackles. JP Duminy was the only batsman to show some resistance and fought like a lone warrior. Ahmedabad were bundled out for 116 in under 18 overs.
Sreesanth for his figures of 4 for 22 off 3 overs was named the Man of the match.

Chennai Captain Michael Clarke led the way with his quick-fire 78 and was supported well by Fawad Alam as he scored 59 runs coming in at no. 5. They helped Chennai to a good total of 178 and set a challenging total for Crusaders to win the match.
Crusaders didn't start well and lost 4 wickets in 6 overs. Yusuf Pathan and Shahid Afridi played some exciting shots and took Crusaders towards the target. Kolkata batting first started with a bang and both the openers looked in good touch. Sahil Kukreja,a young Indian player was a surprise package for Kanpur bowlers as he scored 62 off just 43 deliveries. Hawks set up a real good target of 186 for Kanpur Kiwis who had a good strong batting line-up.
Kiwis started with clear intensions to go after the bowlers right from the out-set. Ryder fell cheaply but Dhawan and Dravid batted beautifully until Mishra got Dhawan in the 17th over and then what followed was a collapse as Uthappa bowled a dream spell. He got 3 wickets in his 3 overs and gave away just 22 runs. In the end, Kanpur fell short by 8 runs.
Robin Uthappa for his all-round performance was named the Man of the match.

Great win first up!! Strauss and Tiwary batted very well, especially Tiwary, hes' 61 off 40 balls were very good for such a young player. Expected more from
Hughes,Collingwood,Laxman and such in the batting aspect though.
All of our bowlers bowled reasonably,but Sreesanth, take a bow. 4 wickets, great stuff.

Gary, should R. Uthappa even be allowed to bowl???
He has played 53 T20's and never bowled, as well as 38 ODI's and never bowled...
Surly his bowling rating should be like 1, don't see how someone like that can rip through me... :crying

I'll show you a screeny of what Uthappa's ability and aggression was as a bowler?
As cricket22 selected 5 bowlers to bowl so CS09 just randomly selected Uthappa.
His rating was even lower than 1,trust me.
