Story Indian Premier League (Story)

@user2010 why it is going so slow?

1. It is a story cum league and not just a league where one round is posted in a day.
2. It takes time to play matches and prepare screens.
3. I've a life outside PC.

First of all, I'd like to appreciate the time User is putting into this. I can only imagine how hard it would be to run a league cum story and that too on IPL. Running an IPL story is itself a big task and the job gets even harder when it's also a league, as then you have to contact the managers too for the teams and all. Even after all this, the quality of presentation that User is maintaining is remarkable.

This doesn't really matter to all but for me it's a big deal and makes the presentation more realistic, I'm talking about assigning unique faces to each player which I can see User has or perhaps is using some patch but it surely does make the presentation more realistic. Good luck for this User, I'd try and follow this. :thumbs

Ha ha, this. I'm not using any patch btw. I assigned those faces myself. A big thanks to Varun (Blitzberg) for his face assigning player editor. Couldn't have been possible without it. And, thanks for the appreciation. I'll be posting the next update in a while.

Match 2
MIico.jpg
Mumbai Indians v Deccan Chargers
DCico.jpg

at Wankhede Stadium

Runs, runs, and then wickets!!!

Mike Hussey and Rohit Sharma started accumulating runs off the spinners. Ashwin didn't give away much but, Huss was keen to attack the leggie Mishra. Both the batsmen played brilliant shots in the partnership and the runs came easily. None of the spinners looked threatening. The late cuts, the sweeps were played very often. MS Dhoni did attack initially but, as the runs started leaking he was forced to spread his field. This partnership took the game away from Deccan, it seemed.

Hussey tried to sweep one from Ashwin but ended up being bowled by that delivery. That's where the things took a turn. It was Manoj Tiwary who came in after Hussey fell. Rohit Sharma was the one Mumbai Indians were looking at to take them home. But, it wasn't to be as Abhishek Nayar got him to edge one to Dhoni who took a stunner behind the wickets. It was the hard hitting Yusuf Pathan that walked in. He couldn't last long as he handed an easy catch to Steyn at the fence.

Mumbai lost 3 wickets within 15 runs and Manoj Tiwary had a big responsibility of seeing his team through. But, it was looking far now as the gap between the balls remaining and runs needed widened. 27 runs were needed from the last 2 overs for Mumbai to win it. Manoj Tiwary got stuck into Nayar as he managed 16 runs from the 19th over which meant 11 needed of the final over. Mumbai Indians are 142 for 6 after 19 overs. Manoj Tiwary is on strike and Bravo will be bowling the last over of the innings. Will Tiwary be able to do it or will Bravo's subtle variations make it difficult for him? Stay tuned...

Mumbai Indians need 11 runs to win from 6 balls

fearsome tweak this is getting right down the wire, we should of batted sensibly at the start, but great job by Huss & Rohit to bring us till here, I knew they were gonna do a great job. Cone on Manoj! Fingers crossed.

i know that its not gonna easy chase for mumbai mainly because opposition have the x factor as ms dhoni :D so last over drama still i believe that dc gonna win this ;)

Manoj Tiwary is never a big hitter so I'd be little surprised if MI win it from here.

More Drama - Scores Tied!!!

Manoj Tiwary couldn't have begun the over any better as he hit a 4 off the second delivery of the over. On back foot, he picked up a short one and that went straight over the bowler's head, one bounce over the ropes. The next ball was even better, a massive SIX! Backing away, he gave himself room to free his arms and went for it with all the might. Inside out shot that went all the way. Mumbai Indians needed just 1 run off 3 balls. Manoj couldn't get the next one away as he tried to be cheeky. And, the very next ball he tried to flick but, handed a straightforward catch to Ashwin. The stadium was buzzing as the match had gone to the last ball. Umar Gul was the man to face the last ball and score that 1 run for Mumbai. Dwayne Bravo didn't let that happen, Gul missed it by some distance as Bravo bowled it a tad wide and Gul was backing up to go over the field. The scores were tied with Mumbai Indians at 152 for 7 in the 20 overs and we have a super over!
