AB de Villiers was brutal against his fellow countryman scoring 4 consecutive fours.

AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli were out in the middle for the super over after Sachin won the toss and elected to bat first. Dale Steyn was the bowlers for the Deccan Chargers. AB hit 4 consecutive fours off Steyn while he missed the last 2 deliveries. 16 runs on the board for Mumbai Indians, can Umar Gul keep DC below 16?​

Super Over - Deccan Chargers' chase

Mumbai Indians celebrate as Taylor is bowled.

Dwayne Bravo and Ross Taylor were the batsmen to try and score 17 runs against Umar Gul. Bravo took the strike. It was a good start for DC as Bravo hit the first ball for a 4 and the next one was a wide ball. They needed 12 from 5 balls. Bravo couldn't get the next two balls away as both resulted in no run! It was 12 from 3 now. Boundary came off the next one and they needed 2 more shots like those. Gul held his nerve as the batsmen just got a single on the 5th delivery meaning a 6 off the last ball to tie the scores. Win for DC was out of equation. Taylor who had played an exceptional knock earlier in the day was bowled when he tried to walk down the track and attack the ball. He missed it altogether and DC were 10 for 1 after the super over.​
