What will the result of the Test series be?

7 Wickets for Bhajji, Last 2 were gifted but at least something good for India. Bhajji looked very good in most parts of the series.

Well at least we don't have to see our bowlers again for a while. :p

Forecast for tomorrow appears to be sunny with no chance of rain. Will be interesting to see if India go for it tomorrow or try to save the game. They'll probably end up with about 180-200 regardless.

340 to chase, India will lose or hopefully draw this test,
The only way of winning this is by a Sehwag masterclass that is looking unlikely as he is injured.

Gambhir's loss is a big big blow.

no way will they go for that target.

even if sehwag comes out firing early on it will only be because he feels playing his natural game is the best way to survive, India will be firmly trying to draw now.

340 to win.

90 overs to go.

India essentially have to bat the whole day here.

Sehwag can't control himself, Gambhir is injured, Dravid's form has been horrid, Sachin is playing well, Pujara is a nervy starter and short on runs and luck, VVS is fighting back spasms, MSD is fighting his technical short comings, Bhajji will just hit, Zak and Ishant can hang around for a while and Sree is just useless.

This will be a real test of character for this Indian side now. Do they have the steel to face up against Steyn and Co. on this sort of Surface and under pressure? Will they atleast put up a fight? Or will they crumble with no resistance?

Hats off to the awesomeness of Kallis!!
Throughout the series we just couldn't figure out how to get him out!! So so underated cricketer, when people talk of legends in the game.
Now with 40 centuries and batting avg. going up to 57.43.:clap

Yep, India will definitely play for a draw tomorrow. I'd love it if they take the fight to the opposition by embarking on an aggressive chase, but given the fact that Steyn is breathing fire, it's very unlikely that it'd happen.

Holy crap! What just happened? Its again KALLIS!! Irritating...

Whats wrong with Gambhir? Cant he bat? I just hope we bat out a draw. It would be so ugly to lose the test after we have done so well in this test to bat well and bowl well (until this Kallis menace).

I wouldn't mind if we are bowled out for 200 while trying to at least win the game. Much better than going along at 2 an over and losing wickets regularly, nevertheless.

I suspect everything hinges on how long Sehwag lasts. If he makes his standard 20-30 runs in about as many balls and then leaves, then it's going to probably be a draw all the way. If he gets going with the hard new ball in the first session then it could actually ease some pressure even if we are looking to draw.

We sorely missed a second spinner today. With Sehwag having a bad shoulder, we were out of options when Harbhajan couldnt do much. Also Sreesanth is an ACTOR! He is not naturally aggressive, he is just doing it for the cameras. It was so clear today when he spotted the cameras and then wantedly kicked the boundary ropes (he has been fined for it too). Such a poor chap!

Where woudl South Africa be without Kallis. What a player. Too bad he cant bowl because I am sure that he would help them allot.

Going to be a really interesting day tomorrow.

BTW didn't South Africa's chief of selectors (or someone with a similar position) say that there wont be anymore quota? That players will be selected on their abilities.

If India do go for the win tomorrow, which they should, then it might be worth swapping the batting positions of dravid and laxman, with laxman coming in at 3 and dravid at 5.

They do need to have a sustained healthy run-rate, and when the openers fall, 2nd innings maestro along with sachin should be able to keep the intensity up. If wickets fall early, then it would be the perfect opportunity for dravid to consolidate and show the world why he is the wall for one last time.
