Fielding proved to be the difference in the end.Nz were brilliant while at times SA just looked mediocre. Also 5 run outs might have to do something with the state of mind as well..
Excellent stuff from the kiwis which goes on to show that they are still a very capable side in the ODIs.

I have to agree with McCullum in that this is a huge victory. We were down and out after the tests, and to get this momentum at the end of the tour heading into one of our biggest home tours (probably alongside Australia) will definitely give NZC something to be positive about. The England tour probably suits us in that all of the limited overs games are first, so if we can get a few wins on the board early along with these wins then it should give us the ability to be at least competitive in the tests. Taylor's returning to domestic cricket tomorrow as well which is good.

Nice tribute from South Africa to Donald with all those runouts. Surely Saf have better limited overs sides than the ones they've been throwing out for the slaughter. Maybe this is the wake-up call they needed. What next? 4-0 to Bangladesh?

Very surprising to have comeback and won two ODI games. Seriously thought that our New Zealand would be done for in the ODI's.

Saffers proved again why they are called CHOKERS in the Cricket World !!! :p

Amazing fielding by NZL with 5 run-outs, amazing spell by Mills, and a great ton with big responsibility by Williamson... Consistency matters now for them, let's see what's ahead :thumbs

Although S Africa at times shot themselves in foot with their selections, this odi series win for the kiwis shows that unlike the test ranking in which they are above everyone by a long way except england.

Once all teams are at full-strength (except india who i think don't have enough quality quick bowling & depend a bit too much on part-time bowlers) there is no clear top team in one-day cricket. Each team is very close & that means that the champions trophy later this year could be won by anyone.
