Will SA even lose a wicket in this test?:facepalm Terribly frustrating. Feel like going and killing Zaheer, the selectors, BCCI, etc. Harbhajan is being ***** here with his bowling.

Why on Earth did they pick Unadkat...did they even see him bowl before selecting him?

RP, Irfan and Balaji probably won't come back. Nehra and PK are ODIs only.

Leaves us with just Munaf, Mithun, Yadav.

God our pace attack sux.

Harbhajan showing the same form that has picked him up 64 wickets in 17 matches since the start of 2009, at a strike rate of 79.5 and an economy of 2.82 (average = 37.48).

This includes 26 wickets @ 29.30 against NZ.

In 11 matches in 2010 alone, his Average is 43.54. SR of 92.9, economy of 2.81.

And right now, he's struggling to stay economical.

Sigh. India's bowling is really awful at the moment. Despite these performances Harbhajan is still one of the first names on the list, because Ojha/Mishra/Piyush haven't been any better, and the selectors seem to hate Kartik.

Here's hoping Ashwin, Chawla, Mithun, Yadav, Ishant and Unadkat turn into a world class bowling unit in the next few years, however unlikely that may be...*sigh*

Mithun was usless but even he is better than Unadkat. This selection committee under Srikanth has been useless.

Indian bowlers will pick up quick wickets when SA are like 150-200/0; well settled and cruising. When upcoming batsmen are waiting for ages, and got bored. Lack of concentration from the batsmen's part.

Make that 30k less for Unadkat.
I haven't seen him bowl. I stopped watching after I saw lil Sree with his 119KMPH "aggression" and stares at the batsmen with his sweatbands. Switched back to Ashes.

What's with the sweatbands? Not really a cricketers look

With the start they've got, South Africa will probably look to win this one by an innings, they'll probably reach 500+, declare and bowl out India before they seize the lead again.

Harbhajan Singh to Smith, OUT, caught! India have struck on the stroke of lunch and it's out of the blue. The ball was similar to the previous one, Harbhajan drifted it into the left-hander, pitched around off and got the ball to bounce considerably. Smith attempted to cut this one and Dhoni held the edge. Finally India have some respite.

What did I just say 2 posts earlier? This is called India Style Attack.

About this seam position on release, beginning to believe that may be its a bit too overrated. Never seen as perfect a seam position on ball as Sreesanth always managed to have, yet he's hardly been the most fearsome bowler going around. I regarded Sreesanth very highly because of this very skill, as experts and commentators always seem to talk of it a lot.
Compare that too today's performance of Mitchell Johnson, hardly a bowl with proper seam but the late swing was enough to rattle the English batsmen!!

It's a bit puzzling how Johnson got the ball to swing, I agree. Problem is no one really knows why a ball swings, really. Not enough research been done on it.

No surprise why Sreesanth sucked though. There was no venom in the bowling, simple as. To be fair, his line and lengths weren't too bad.

Our commentators always overdo the bit about "having the perfect seam position". Its all bull crap. Sreesanth does it always, yet he is nowhere near being a threatening bowler. Unadkat's seam position also seems to be impressive, but you need much more than that to be successful.

This is such an unsporting wicket. At least Indian wickets let both teams make big scores. This pitch just lets South African batsmen score, pah.
