Aussies Need Partnership

After the excellent three overs, Ashraful was contented to operate with Mortaza and Razzak. Batsmen were finding tough to get the free flow of runs. Also, Mortaza was very consistent in his line and length and infact it looked like that, he badly need his third wicket Meanwhile,his partner, Razzak striked with another crucial wicket of Martyn!

Martyn ~ Victim of Poor Umpiring???

Razzak changed the ends while bowling wanting to do something different. In one of his deliveries, Razzak delivered a quick straight ball which Martyn tried to sweep it. Martyn missed it and immediately, there was a huge shout for a LBW from the bowler as well as the keeper. Umpire, after taking some time, raised his finger that resulted in the important wicket of Martyn!

But the replay showed that, the ball wud have missed the LegStumps, considering the angle from which Razzak was bowling! Martyn cannot believe it... Aussie coach, after seeing the replay from the dressing room, showed some signs of frustrations! But its over, the decision has already been given and Martyn started walking towards the dressing room nodding his head. Bangla team continued their celebrations! The music from Bangla fans increased further. And, Symonds replaced Martyn at the crease.

Mortaza Vs Ponting

In other end, Australian skipper was having lot of troubles against Mortaza. Mortaza was just tempting the Aussie skipper to make some mistakes. He decieved Ponting on several occasions. Also, Ponting got struck in the helmet in one of the deliveries and also got hurt in the rib cage! Mortaza has just turned out to be a threaten for Aussies but Ponting was very lucky to survive some of the teasing delievries!

Also, Symonds who came in as the new batsmen, was looking confident in his foot work and started his runs straight away with the boundary. After the continuous 6 overs spell, Ashraful decided to stop Mortaza and tried again with S.Hossain but Hossain was once again expensive giving away seven runs in his very first over of the second spell.

Well, 15 Overs have ended, Australia are under the huge pressure as they have lost four crucial wickets. Bangladesh have made a brilliant fight back so far... But still, Australian skipper Ponting is there at the crease along with the big man Symonds. One good partnership wud turn the game. Meanwhile, Bangladesh need couple of wickets to bring them in commanding position!

Time for Rafique to spin his web around the Aussies Get a few quick overs in with Aftab and Saleh, maybe even Ashraful. At this stage, the Aussies won't be looking to lose more wickets. The part-timers could keep runs down from one end, and Razzak/Rafique could attack from the other. A wicket or two, and it's Bangla's game to lose

Aussies On Track Again!
( Rescue Role by Symonds & Ponting )​

With early four wickets, the whole pressure fell on this pair. But both Symonds & Ponting handled well and played a crucial role trying to place Aussies right on the track!

Ashraful stopped Razzak & Hossain and brought Rafique & himself to bowl. Rafique was very impressive tempting the batsmen to make a mistake but both the batsmen were very watchful. In other end, Ashraful was not that much effective like Rafique.Both Symonds & Ponting had their main intension to rotate singles and infact it was well executed by these two becos of the wide spread field set! The field was little defensive becos Ashraful wanted to bring down the scoring rate of Aussies.

Symonds was looking more dangerous than Aussie skipper. Symonds smashed a Six and two fours in the same over of Ashraful that really alarmed the entire Bangla Team! Ashraful got frustrated in that over. But Ponting is maintaining the silence in other end playing a solid skipper role.

well, 25 overs ended. Aussies made an excellent comeback with the help of Ponting and Symonds. Ashraful is slightly panic as this partnership is turning out to be a major problem for Bangladesh.

* For Aussies, any one of the current pair need to stay till the end to make Aussies to travel in safe path.

* For Bangladesh, bowlers have to break this pair especially Symonds who is very capable of hitting big sixes.

The match is nicely balanced at the moment and its still anyone's game!
