Great stuff by Bangla but if they are not careful ponting and symo could take it away from them!
They need another wicket and get stuck into the tail!

Australia Vs Bangladesh

PreLim Round,Live From Mumbai.

Double BreakThrough!
( R.Saleh suprised everyone in his very first Over )

After the huge over from Ashraful, he decided to stop himself from the attack and brought Aftab Ahmed into the attack. Aftab and Rafique continued the bowling. Aftab maintained a good line but both the batsmen easily managed to rotate singles. Also, batsmen were watchful against Rafique and kept on accelerating the scorecard.

This doesn't impress Ashraful and he decided to stop Aftab after the short spell of just two overs. It was 30th over and Ashraful made a suprise change of Saleh which produced a big twist once again in this game!

Symonds, First Victim of Saleh!

Saleh delivered a normal offbreak in his first delivery to Symonds. In an attempt to play the ordinary front foot shot, Symonds was decieved completely and missed the ball. This forced the ball to strike the middle stumps resulting in clean bowled. Symonds was not able to believe that he missed it!

Saleh was delighted to strike in very first delivery and started to run towards the skipper straight away and the entire Bangla team gathered to celebrate this important breakthrough. This is a huge blow for Australia in loosing their big man! Symonds made his way towards the dressing room with disappointments that he wasn't able to continue his great start!

Watson replaced Symonds at the crease joining his well settled skipper!

Watson, Second Victim of Saleh

With the great start by Saleh, the confidence of Ashraful on Saleh was increased and immediately had a short discussion with Bashar and Saleh. Then he completely changed the field type for the new batsman, Watson. Defensive field was removed and the attacking field that included a slip and a silly point was set for Watson.

Watson, however started his very first ball with a four from the aggressive sweep shot. But Saleh mixed the straight quick ones and offbreaks very well and striked once again in the fifth delivery with the wicket of Watson!

Saleh bowled a quick straight one and Watson just attempted to defend the delivery. The ball was in air only for some time but the silly point fielder took an sharp catch. There was a huge appeal from the bowler and the fielders for the catch and umpire raised his finger quickly.

Watson was shocked. Saleh was having a huge celebrarion along with his team. In other end, Ponting was frustrated. Aussie fans have turned to silence. There was music all over from Bangla fans. Watson doesnt want to leave the field but its over... He walked back with more frustrations. The dressing room was filled with tension! Hogg replaced Watson at the crease.

Well, 30 Overs ended. With the two quick wickets, Bangladesh bounced back right into this game & there is an equal race running at the moment between these two teams. With Ponting at the crease, Aussies are still have hopes for the victory. While, Bangladesh wud be trying to utilise this pressure on Aussies!

Australia :- 141/6(30)
B.Hogg : 1*(1)
R.Ponting : 48*(77)

Watson : 4(4) Dismissed by Saleh.
Symonds : 43(56) Dismissed by Saleh.
Aussies Require 90 runs from 120 Balls!

this is gonna be tight but ponting is still there which could be a problem, come on Banglas

Symonds shot was very poor, didn't look like he even wanted to hit it!

Saleh has started extremely strong, let's hope he continue.

Well done Suren, excellent presentation!

Suren a few words...

Your story has developed a big deal and I had forgotton about the earlier moments so I thought this has been going for long I'll take alook through...so i looked through and just remembered this story owns and how well it was all done the India V West Indies test series was amazing (even though India's test kit looked like it had been thrown in mud hah lol) it was a great start to your story.

So I'd like to ask when are the next test matches no matter if there not coming anytime soon this story is just a good good benchmark for us to follow its a bit like MWaughs legendary story which has come to a sad end but I am enjoying the way your honest and if someone gets out for a duck thats it ;)

Sweet work mate ;)

Thanks a lot for kind and sweet words :happy

Yeah abt the test kit, i remember it being dirty during Windies tour...;) This time i will try to find a clean one :) Well, Test matches wud be coming in South African tour which is next to this Champions Trophy!

:happy Thanks everyone for the wonderful comments and views :happy

And so can Lee. If Ponting goes so do our chances of winning. This reminds me of the ODI in Brisbane when Ponting batted with Lee and got us to around 220-230. We nearly ended up beating South Africa.

yeaa Rajin Saleh....Come on Bangladesh....jus need Pontings wicket and then they can win this

Surendar, I looked through this thread and your coverage is wonderfully painstaking and comprehensive. I appreciate your taking time to do this as it gives us a detailed perspective of your games. Good show, mate! :)
