( Quick Runs as Well as Quick Wickets in this Session )
Well, Dravid was very much frustrated with the things that were going around him. The aggressive approach of Kemp and Boucher pair yet again made Dravid to press the panic button and was busily working with his bowlers and the fieldset. Atlast, Dravid decided to bring Tendulkar(who was stopped from bowling inspite of the maiden wicket over ) into the attack and this bowling change did the trick in very first ball.

Kemp,The Second Victim of Tendulkar.

Tendulkar had a long chat with his captain and the field was set to bit defensive mode. The very first ball of Tendulkar...... It was a straight quick one... Kemp, who was already in attacking mode, straight away decided to attack this part-timer too.. He tried for a massive one but was decieved compeletly due to improper time of the swing of his bat.. As a result, the ball striked the stumps resulting in clean bowled.
Tendulkar was delighted to extreme extent and the entire team started celebrating this wicket. It was yet another batsman for SouthAfrica getting dismissed after reaching the fifty. Huge and quick century was expected from Kemp but was unlucky to get out in hurrying mood. Kemp made his way towards the dressing room and Pollock joined Boucher.
Boucher Taking Control From Kemp.

There were no problems for SouthAfrica from Kemp's dismissal because, as soon as Kemp left, Boucher started entertaining the spectators. There were some fantastic shots played by Boucher and fielders were able to only watch the ball touching the ropes.
However, Tendulkar was economical though. Dravid once again, started shuffling his bowlers. Spin Twins were also charged by Boucher.. Infact, in one of the deliveries, Boucher came down the track and struck an glorious boundary which went like a rocket to the fence. This entertainment kept the SouthAfrican fans to jump from their seats and cheer for their home team. In other end, all the Indian fans kept silent and were eagerly waiting for the breakthrough. Boucher also reached his fifty and received warm applauses from everyone.
It was when the things were going very fine for SouthAfrica, the Spin Twins created a huge impact by getting quick three wickets towards the end of day's play.
Three Wickets In Hurry-Burry.

Pollock's Dismissal : Pollock started off patiently trying to give a solid support to Boucher who was exploding in the other end. So, Pollock was very much contented to defend most of the balls he faced. But this turned as a major drawback that costed his own wicket.
In one of the deliveries of Harbhajan Singh, Pollock tried to be defensive but the ball got a thick inside edge and straight away striked the base of stumps that managed to remove the bails. Hence, Pollock was clean bowled and Indian skipper was bit happy to get another wicket before the end of Day's play. Pollock walked back to the dressing room while the celebrations among the Indian team continued. Botha came in as the new batsman.
Boucher's Dismissal : It was Jumbo's(Kumble's) turn to cause some more damage to the SouthAfrican line-up. He managed to get rid of most dangerous Boucher who was very well set.
Boucher while attempting to attack Kumble by coming down the track, missed the ball completely and this also resulted in clean bowled. Boucher's attacking mood thus turned as a drawback in the end.. But never mind, it was a fantastic entertainment. :hpraise Indian team was happy to the core as there are no more well settled dangerous batsman left! Boucher recieved applauses while going back to the pavilion. Fantastic inning by Boucher came to an end and was pity that he was also not able to convert that fifty to a hundred!
Botha's Dismissal : It seems to be the last over of the day despite having around 6-7 more overs for that 90 Overs spell per day. Indian bowling over rate was not that quick today. Dravid may be fined for this too. Have to wait and see what happens though. The aggressive approach made almost all the bowlers and Indian skip to press the panic button and hence slowing down the Over rate.
However, Harbhajan Singh striked in the last ball.. It was an normal off spin which Botha edged to Dhoni. The wicket keeper did not make a mistake in taking that simple catch. It was when the celebrations were about to begin, the umpire removed the bails off indicating the end of Day1's play. The players left the field.
SA ScoreCard,End Of Day1.

Indian Bowling Card.

Well, India bounced back very well in last 30 minutes which had prevented the home team's chance of scoring around 450-500. With just one more wicket, it was expected to end soon on Day 2 or we may even see a declaration if SA managed to cross 400. SouthAfrica would be worrying a bit about the things that happened in last few minutes where the quick wickets fell. Similarly, Dravid would also be relieved a bit for being able to prevent the things from going worse. Still, the contest has not yet ended. Indian batting on these conditions is really going to be a big Test for batsmen against the quality pace attack of Africans. Stay Tuned to see what happens on Day 2!
