India will win in my opinion.

A poor start and a terrible collapse from India thanks mainly to Matthew Hoggard but the two batsmen in at the moment seem settled and need to put on a good partnership to try and get India back into the match. They're currently fighting a losing battle but I still believe in you and your team!

Good luck, Suren, and as always the presentation is spectacular.

Yeah on a track like this boundaries are a bonus 1's and 2's are extemly helpful and thats what India should bat for. Just bat the whole innings basically. But I reckon England will take it as I mentioned earlier.

:happy Thank you everyone for the wonderful and magnificent views :happy

India In Australia
CommonWealth Bank Series 07
First Match : India Vs England

First Innings,
Live From Hobart.

Target : 173 for England!

bannertitleey7.jpg

Well, it was just when the things seemed to settle down for India with Yuvraj Singh and Dhoni going nicely with good understanding between them, England got their breakthrough they wanted. India crossed 100 run-mark when Dhoni got a quick 2 in one of Mahmood's overs. Some fans were in-fact glad that they(India) crossed 100 because, at one position India were 5/12. And some more fans were building hopes on this pair to take India past 200 in the similar way they did for 100. It was when all these multiple thoughts were going in the minds of Indian fans, all were brought back to stunning silence when Indian skipper departed.

Dhoni, A Victim of the Slower/Tempting Delivery!

dhoniwickettc3.jpg

" Was this shot necessary at this situation? "
- In the thoughts of Indian fans!

Mahmood attempted a slower delivery which was punched hard by the Indian skipper. He swept the ball so hard that it did look like a big one for a moment.. but unfortunately, the distance was not quite enough to cross the boundary ropes. The ball landed safely in Plunkett's hands.

The bowler got excited.. Flintoff, the skipper was excited... Plunkett who caught the ball, was excited and all the English players started to celebrate this departure, which indeed is an important breakthrough for England & shocking blow for India! Plunkett even started dancing infront of the crowd to express his excitement. :p Dhoni returned to the Indian dressing room with full of disappointments.

Monty Has Something finally to Celebrate.

wk78ot7.jpg

Monty's patience finally
got rewarded.

Huge pressure started to build on Yuvraj Singh alone, as India had to somehow manage to cross that 200 run mark to put some competitive score on the board. Pathan walked in as new batsman. He tried to give Yuvraj the maximum strike and their strategy seemed like rotating the strikes for next 5-10 overs atleast.

But Monty, who was bowling his last spell, did not allow the Indian batsmen to settle down. He got rid of Pathan with one of the simplest deliveries. It was a normal ball which Pathan attempted to sweep in leg side. And, the timing was very poor that it lead to a top edge and the ball went high in the air. Mahmood who was standing there, did not find any difficulties taking the simplest catch in cricket. The celebration continued for England. Frustrations went to the peak level among Indian fans and in Indian dressing room. Harbhajan Singh walked in as the new batsman.

In last over of Monty, he got rid of Harbhajan Singh too. It was one of the beautiful deliveries in which Harbhajan got a thick edge and ball went straightly into the keeper's gloves. Read took an easy catch from behind the stumps and Monty started to celebrate without even appealing. Harbhajan knows it.. Monty knows it.. Read knows it.. Even umpires know it, that it was OUT! Harbhajan Singh walked back to the pavilion and the score was 125/8. Steve Waugh was found sitting with his hands on face and in fact every player in Indian dressing room was disappointed with the way the things are going for India.

Lonely Warrior of this Innings :- Yuvraj Singh!

unstoppableyuvigd0.jpg

If Yuvraj is able to play so well,
why the other class batsmen were not able to do the same?

It was when all the Indian fans were getting restless and some fans even started to throw water bottles on the ground, the entertainment came from nowhere in the form of Yuvraj's blasting gameplay. Flintoff, Mahmood, Monty went clueless against this batsmen in particular.

Yuvraj moved his feet so well that he managed to place every ball with perfection. There were neither bad edges nor blind hits from the bat. The shots-selection chosen by Yuvraj singh should have definitely made some players in Indian dressing room to think that they could have also done the same. Flintoff maintained a separate field settings for this batsman alone.. And still, Yuvraj was able to pick the gaps and get the runs moving!

What can annoy the opponent skipper more than this? :p In particular, one of the straight hit by Yuvraj in Flintoff's over was a treat to watch for the eyes of the spectators. Finally some applauses came for this batsmen. In-fact, no one realized that Yuvraj has crossed his fifty on this tough wicket because of the horrible situation in which India was put in by England.

Yuvraj went Wild Against Pietersen!

animated6cbseriesei2.gif

Introducing KP into the attack, when England were in commanding position..
Is it a wise move from the skipper?
(...Please wait for some time to fully load...)

It took everyone to surprise when Flintoff gave the ball to Pietersen. Everyone was expecting Hoggard but the skipper tried something strange. Yuvraj was on strike and welcomed Pietersen with a huge SIX! :D

Pietersen tried to keep it straight and simple. Yuvraj went forward and attempted a huge sweep shot before even the ball was pitched. The ball was timed perfectly that it travelled a long distance and landed straight away into the hands of one of the spectators' hands. This was the first six of the Indian innings. Waugh, from Indian dressing room stood up and applauded Yuvraj for his magnificent gameplay tactics.

The next ball was a dot ball. Yuvraj was just contented to defend the ball and immediately, Pietersen gave a sarcastic stare at the batsman. But the next three deliveries was punished by Yuvraj for three magnificent fours. The over of Pietersen ended up finally costing England, 19 runs.

Hoggard, The Demolisher of Indian Innings (6/23).

wk910br3.jpg

No Answers obtained for managing this pacer, Matthew Hoggard!

Munaf was trying to keep the patience up and give Yuvraj the needed support. But Flintoff brought back Hoggard at the right time and finished the things for England. Hoggard, in one of the deliveries bowled an excellent reverse swinging delivery to which Munaf had no answer. Munaf Patel was clean bowled by Hoggard and the celebrations resumed among English players once again. Final batsman, Ishant Sharma walked under huge pressure.

Yuvraj, at non striker's end was very desperate in taking the strike from Sharma. Both the batsmen had a brief talk. Message from Waugh also arrived to Yuvraj by the means of Rohit Sharma bringing water bottle to Yuvraj Singh. But these things just ended up in vain as the bowler cleaned up Ishant Sharma also in his very next over. Sharma edged to keeper and Read had no problems in taking one of the regular catches behind the stumps.

This brought " T-H-E E-N-D " to Indian innings when the score on the board was just 172 with Yuvraj unbeaten on 86 runs.

Indian Scorecard

finalscorecardwithindiarm9.jpg

Apart from Yuvraj and Dhoni,
no-one bothered to touch the '2' digits score!

So, with some brilliant hittings from Yuvraj and some patient support from Dhoni, India managed to put 172 runs on their board. Can this score be competitive enough to put a fight against England? Can English batsmen reach this target with ease? Or Can rain interrupt into this match and spoil the things around? ........... So many questions on the viewers mind eh? ........ :p Keep thinking and stay tuned to know what happens N-E-X-T! :)

I'm going for B)

Fantastic pres Suren, the dartfish was amazing to look at. Hoggard really did destroy the Indians, although Yuvraj did a good job. Going to be hard for India to win this though, but on this pitch you never know

I'm going for C :D

I'll go with B.

Fantastic bowling by England. Yeah the conditions helped but it was really good for them to pile on the pressure. Feel sorry for Yuvraj though, only one who performed and was left not out.

g'day old mate hows it going? just had a quick squiz over your story. unbelievable is realistically the only word i can use to come close to describing it. i havent been on here constantly for about 2 years and the consistant steps youve taken to improve it is remarkable. new story writers (and old ones) should take note of how you go about your business. well done

also mate. might end up getting the net again, any news of any new cricket games coming on the market soon? unfortunately ea05 is gooooone (not by my chosing).

cheers mate. well done
MWaugh

I'm going for C.

Awesome presentation which we have to come to expect from your good self. India got destroyed by Hoggard but Dhoni and Yuvra but up a little bit of a fight and could of given them a chance in this match. Oh and I said I think India would win but i'm not in the list.

Come on India!

Option C for me.

Thats brilliant bowling by England. Should be a good match to watch. England have the upper hand and shouldn't have too many problems chasing the target.

Nice stuff! Brilliant Dart fish!!
