Amazing match mate.Just thrilling.India almost got everyone except Read.Read did it all for England.Brilliant press asusual buddy.Keep it up.

I will go with Yuvraj for MOTM award.

Suren, you do come up with the best storylines :p

Brilliant as always, and imagine if that happened in real life, it would be one of the best ODI's ever! I'm going for Read as MotM.

What a finish to the match! A lot of blunders there by Steve Bucknor. Maybe resignation is a choice for him? England were lucky there and escaped by the grasp of their teeth. At the end of the day both teams played fantastic cricket to make it into such a thriller. Chris Read was the ultimate hero.

Fantastic and Fantastic and Fantastic Suren! :hpraise

Great climax Suren, were you batting or bowling when the no-ball was called???

My man-of-the-match is Chris Read :D

Wow what a match, Panesar the unlikely hero! Chris Read was fantastic and without him England would have been smashed. Bucknor once again playing a part in a big call, he's very controversial, in real life and on he game!

Awesome work Suren, brilliant presentation and writing.

Man i just sat here reading the last 2 balls with exspense. Exellent finish to the match, and the England boyz will be satisfied they won the match after all that.

Exellent presentation mate im loving this. I also think that Read will be the Man of the match

Just to be different, Yuvraj Singh man of the match for his unbeaten 86.

A terrific match with a tense climax... twice. :p England deserved the win in my opinion, no matter what anyone says. Hopefully you can get them back for it. Brilliant match.

Great stuff as per the normal standard in this Suren, keep it up.

Presentation Ceremony with Mark Nicholas

bannertitleey7.jpg

M.N : Hello and welcome to the presentation ceremony.. And we had a wonderful finish to one of the most exciting matches in cricket history. Though we had a very low scoring from both the sides, the end was thrilling. 19 Wickets fell for around 350 runs.. Anyways, now lets go to the match presentation straight away.. First I like to call upon the loosing captain, MS Dhoni.. The captain of India!

M.N : Dhoni.. Can you come up to the stage please to share few words with us.

dhonipresentation.jpg

How pity the Indian captain would be when Nicholas refer him as
'The Loosing Captain' after the brave fight for the small total!

M.N : Well Dhoni, Tough luck today... How was your first ODI captaincy experience here?

dhonispeaks.jpg
: It was tough indeed. We have been always in pressure when comes to abroad tours. The pitch though looked favoring the bowlers, we should have maintained bit more patience level and scored something around 200 runs which would have been a match winning score. 20-30 runs are what we felt short off I feel..

M.N : After having 170 on the board, did you think at that point of time that your boys can achieve it still?
dhonispeaks.jpg
: Yes.. We were very much particular while batting that we should try and cross atleast 150 which was our first target. Thanks to Yuvi who batted exceptionally well and helped in putting a decent fight-able score on the board. Pathan and Sharma started off very well with Munaf Patel supporting them well. I still have a feeling that if we would have had a 5th specialist bowler, we would have taken this match in our favor ;)

M.N : In next match against Aussies, any special preparations or lessons learnt in Aussie soil?
dhonispeaks.jpg
: We did learn quite a few lessons from this match. Maintaining patience, self belief no matter whatever worst position we have been put up, maintaining cool tempo even at the high pressure situations are worth to mention a few among them :) Hope we maintain this in our tour throughout :)

M.N : Well, Thank you Dhoni.. And now, I like to call upon the winning captain of England, Andrew Flintoff....

flintoff.jpg

How could this win raise the bars when Flintoff and his men
are going to play the mighty Aussies, N-E-X-T!

M.N : Well, Flintoff, did you expect that you will win?

flintoffspeaking.jpg
: Yes, we did expected this victory.. But we didn't expect it to win in such a struggling way though. Indian bowlers did well to maintain the pressure on us right from the word, GO!
M.N : You bowled on this wicket and batted on this wicket as well.. How much different it was from bowling and batting on this track?
flintoffspeaking.jpg
: Well, the pitch was looking a bit unpredictable. While bowling, certain deliveries went in an unpredictable way to the batsmen. And during our batting, the pitch got softened a bit and was getting smooth for batsmen.. But before our batters started to smash the bowlers, their men did a great job in trying to keep us down. But I have to say, that full credits to Chris Read who got selected into English squad as a keeper all of a sudden and straight away turned as a match-winner for our side. :)
M.N : Aim for a better pitch Vs Aussies? ;) :p
flintoffspeaking.jpg
: Certainly, YES to be on safe side and play a happy cricket! :D
M.N : haha.. Good luck Flintoff for the next match Vs Aussies. Hope your men provide a same good entertainment there too.

M.N : So, now we are coming towards the end of presentation with MOTM to be announced. Right ladies & gentlemen, now it's time to announce the man of today's match.

We do had a quite strong contenders... Hoggard who destroyed the Indian batting line up, Yuvraj Singh who provided the fireworks inspite the collapse in other end, Sharma and Pathan who completely put a check on England's batting... But our Man of the Match for today is, the person as their side's captain mentioned --- Got selected into the team all of a sudden as a keeper.. And played a matured and heroic calm knock of 50+ runs which came for England from nowhere and helped England to get the winning runs in the end.

M.N : Ladies & Gentlemen, Our Man of The Match is.......... Chris Read! :clap:clap:clap Read, Can you collect your prize money and come to the stage please to have few words with us. :)

readpres.jpg

READ came from No-Where and read the game so well, that
he lead England from front not as a skipper but as a MATCH-WINNER!

M.N : How did you enjoy your batting today?
readspeaking.jpg
: The batting was not easy as everyone mentioned. But at the same time, I was just waiting for the bowlers to make some minor mistakes and utilize those for making runs. In these conditions, Patience is the key for success is what I have understood from today's game. :)
M.N : You came into the side again after a long time.. How did you manage to handle such a high pressure?
readspeaking.jpg
:Well, Colly gave me loads of advice when I came to the batting crease. We were trying just to do our basics right without making mistakes and I was fortunately, was able to do it right though pressure kept on building at the other end. Since it was a low scoring game, we tried as much as we can to keep our basics right!
readspeaking.jpg
: Well, Good luck Read for the next mighty game against Aussies.
readspeaking.jpg
: Thank you, Mark!

M.N : So, ladies and gentlemen, we came to end of our match presentation. Hope you have enjoyed this LIVE coverage of the first match of the CB Series. Does Mark Nicolas like that pose? :p

Great update, with both captains speaking the truth. Flintoff was quite confident whilst Dhoni obviously thought they could of done better and take lessons out of the match.

Easy read, Suren. Keep it up.
