INDIA Vs WESTINDIES ​

After the exciting win against the world champs, Windies are going to face the another tough team " India " The weather remains the same and so the same low scoring is expected but the things may change at the time of the match!!!

Well, Both the teams were found practicing hard for the second ODI of the DLF cup... So this expected to be another thriller like the previous one....

LARA SPEAKS!!!​

We are trying to improve everytime we play cricket... We have learnt a lot from the previous game and hope we rectify that against India.. India is one of the competitive side filled with many talented young players like Yuvi,sehwag,Pathan,Raina & Sreesanth. So we have to play carefully against them.... Also Sachin is always been a nightmare for the bowlers...Dravid meant for stability... so we have to work hard against them.... Hope that our boys play a good positive cricket with confidence like what we did in last game!!!

INDIAN TEAM IN NETS​

Indian team was found practicing very hard in the nets... The coach was kept on continuously working with the players... He was giving Irfan Pathan more attention as he was struggling in line and length in recent times!!! The coach gave special attention to his favourite Ganguly but still noone knows whether Sourav will be in top 11 to play some cricket...

We were able to bring just a few words from Indian coach,

well, after seeing the result match of previous match, there is no doubt that whether low score or high score... whatever it may be but its everything possible in One Day cricket.... So hoping for the best in this series.. We will try our level best and may the best deserves atlast!!!

SACHIN --- NightMare For Windies Bowlers!!!

Lara, as a good friend to Sachin, know the master very well and spoke to media that " he will be the nightmare for our bowlers ". So he will be the key player to watch for India... if he gets off to a flyer and stays for long time definitely the opposition will be facing some sorts of trouble... So windies will be looking for this wicket early!!! sachin was found practice with high concentration... Star Sports tried its level best to get few words from him but we were unfortunately not able to get that!!!

Everyone are expecting a good entertainment from this Master!!! Lara and Sachin are going to be a good contest in this match....

DRAVID SPEAKS!!!

Indian Skipper, Rahul Dravid was found busily roaming here and there with players..prbly must have discussed the strategy with them!!! Also Ganguly was found busily practicing and coach was also found giving some tips to Sourav!!!

Dravid also called as " The wall of India " has many responsibilities over his shoulders!!! he was little bit out of form in ODIS..But still he is also one of the most Wanted victim for the bowlers!!!

This is what Dravid said to StarSports,

well, Windies is one of the tough side with great players like Lara,Gayle..So this is not going to be easy for us..So looking forward for a challenging cricket and we will try our level best!!!

When asked about Ganguly's place in the team, Dravid said,

All the 15 players are practicing extremely hard in nets... Final 11 will not be revealed until the Toss!!! we are infact not supposed to say that

INDIA VS WESTINDIES --- SECOND MATCH,DLF CUP​

Welcome to StarSports for the second match between India and WestIndies from Malaysia.....

PITCH REPORT & WEATHER CONDITION​

Well the climate here is little improved than the previous match..But still a cool climate and overcast condition exists.... Expect Rain anytime.... But the outfield is slightly improved...


About the pitch, it still supports the slow pacers...Slow pacers can cleverly utilise this condition than the fast bowlers. So all depend on how they utilise this wicket.. We have alreay seen Collymore & Banks utilised it cleverly but Aussie bowlers like McGrath & Lee failed though medium pacers Watson & Clarke utilised it well....

So cut down the pace and maintain the strict line... you are sure to trouble the batsman

Well when had a close look at the pitch this is how it looked like,

There were some spots and uneven surface where the bolwers especially the medium pacers can take advantage of that!!! It might produce the unexpected bounce either low or high thereby making the batting more tough!! Also spinners at the later overs might love to deliver in these spots and make the turn unpredictable This was the area where Banks was pitching most of the times against Aussies and almost it ended in low bounce frustrating the batsman!!

Also, near the batting crease another dangerous spots were observed, this is how it looked,

Well, in these spots, there are higher possibilities of ball travelling with unexpected quickness after landing there... Bowlers(eg : like Harvey ) would love bowling at these areas.... Bravo would definitely love to bowl his typical special slow delivery in these spots and trouble the batsman...

So overall, batsmen have to play an watchful innings.. Minute disturbance in concentration might get batsman into trouble!!

Well, we have no idea about the wicket as we are yet to play... but with the previous game, only thing we have to follow is "play careful".

Yup, Sourav has been given the opening slot as he had great record in the opening position.... & Sehwag as no3.

How many pace bowlers?

We are going with four pace bowlers and a spinner ( bhaji)!!!!

FIRST OVER OF THE MATCH ( Ind Vs WI )​

Well, everything is set ready and Sachin Tendulkar will face the new ball bowled by Lawson and Sourav Ganguly on the non strikers end. Umpire asked the bowler to proceed and Lawson was on his way to deliver the first ball....

Lawson bowled an quickish delivery and Sachin played a sweet shot to put that one off to a big infact huge six on the legside.... The entire arena of Indian Fans roared in the stadium " Sachin...Sachin... "!!! This was the start everyone expected from the master.. i.e to go at the bowler.

It looked like young sachin hitting six... Well he nodded at the bowler in his typical style... Lawson was frustrated and was only able to see the bastman with frustration. Lara had a quick chat with the bowler.

it was the Same mistake, Lawson did against Gilchrist i.e bowling a quickish delivery that too in this type of wicket

But Lawson realised this time soon and bowled next five deliveries cleverly with variaition of pace and utilising the pitch with unexpected bounce... Sachin was watchful at the same time and did not take any risk of going over those deliveries!!!

HAWKEYE FOR THE FIRST OVER

Hawkeye showed that Lawson was targeting right on to those spots trying for the pitch to do some magic with uneven bounce!!! That ended the first over with Six in the first ball and dot balls in rest of the over.
