After spreading of fielders, both the batsmen were finding it difficult to score boundaries regularly... But still both Sachin & Yuvi picked singles whenever there is a chance!!! The game was going in a balanced way... Windies bowling not bad at the moment and Indian batting also not bad at the moment!!!
LOW BOUNCE --- Still key Factor For Bowlers!!!
Well, Banks,Smith & Bravo were trying to utilise the low bounce nature of the wicket... But Banks was utilising the most superbly and cunningly... Banks tested Yuvi's patience many number of times...Yuvi was also decieved most of the times!!! Sachin also had few words everytime he was decieved!!! One thing that looked clear from this pair is "Both of them are not willing to sacrifice the wicket ". Inspite of the low bounce, Yuvi was able to carry on in a confident manner.. Sachin was also able to rotate strikes easily in the other end.
FEW MORE CHANCES FOR WINDIES!!!
Everyone were well aware that three catches were dropped already... Added to this are couple of more chances going in Indian favour!!!
Once Sachin's catch was dropped & Smith was the bowler this time!!! Sachin trying to sweep Smith's slow delivery, found the top edge and looked like to be dismissed in similar way of Sehwag..But the wicket keeper could not collect it cleanly resulting in another drop catch.
Also there was an half shout appeal for Yuvraj by Smith when it looked as if Yuvraj got an edge..But the umpire turned down the appeal... Smith was little unhappy but the replay showed Yuvi narrowly escaped!!!
So windies bowlers are having a great time there hoping for the wicket every delivery they bowl.. Both the batsmen were not showing any aggressive approach after the fielders spreaded!!!
Sachin played an beautiful cheeky shot against Banks that resulted in the boundary after a long time... Well that was a typical Sachin shot which he uses more frequently against the spinners!!! Sachin looked in great confidence and it looked like, even the low bounce is not applying any pressure to him...
ROTATION OF STRIKES, The Major Key For Batsman At The Moment!!!
Since batsmen found difficult to score boundaries, they simply sticked to the basic policy of "Rotating the Strikes" policy and infact they were doing that well... Sachin was finding no problem in getting singles and giving strike to Yuvraj... Also the scoring rate was not that fast as in the first 15 overs. Lara wanted to get rid of this man(Tendulkar) as he is well aware that its dangerous for Windies to keep him in last 10 overs!!! Bowlers are trying their level best but only thing that resulted was "Dropped Catches". Sachin was dropped four times. This could play a major role in later part of the game as "Catches Win Matches".
YUVRAJ's SOLID SUPPORT TO MASTER!!!
At the same time, yuvraj was also going in a confident manner along with Sachin as they were more concentrating on rotating strikes... Yuvraj also looked to be well settled and his scoring rate is also good at the moment. He had faced 49 balls and is still batting at 35. Yuvraj could be also dangerous in the end situations!!! Windies bowlers had to break this pair eventhough the run rate for India is only fair at the moment!!!
EFFORTS BY WINDIES ON THE FIELD
Though Windies have dropped four catches, they looked more enthusiastic in fielding!! Fielders were attempting for everything and did not even give away the single run easily!!!
There was some team effort seen in Windies field... At the extreme point only fielders gave up... Otherwise many dives/leaps were made to get that white ball in their hands!!! So the fielding part looked excellent excluding the dropped catches!!!
Everyone still cannot believe how they dropped those easy chances inspite of the great fielding!!! Well thats fate going in India's favour..But still 20 Overs to go and this pair might go dangerous for Windies if both(Sachin&Yuvi) were allowed to carry on.
So the main thing needed for Windies is the couple of quick wickets and put India in pressure.
In Indians point of view, Sachin or Yuvraj has to stay till the end for the good total on the scorecard!!!
India were bit slow at the end of 30 overs but Yuvraj and Sachin were accelerating very well after 30 overs!!! Part time bowler Gayle was introduced but he did not have that much effect as Banks..So both the batsmen were comfortable against the bowlers. Lawson,Smith & Collymore were also continuing in other end while Gayle bowling his spell continuously in one end.
YUVRAJ SHOWING NOMERCY TOWARDS BOWLERS
It was very exciting to watch Yuvraj going over the bowlers... He just was picking the gaps perfectly and striking it hard nevermind whoever the bowler is... In other words he was just showing NoMercy to the bowlers... The running between the wickets was also fantastic and converted some singles to doubles. Also Windies fielders were running allover chasing the ball...Sachin at a particular period was very contented to give strike to Yuvi who was in full free flow in one end.... So the scorecard started moving quickly again!!!
Meanwhile Yuvraj brought his half century in style with six and raised his bat proudly to the spectators...& he recieved applauses from everywhere including his coach in the dressing Room....
Yuvraj got a huge six from 44 to reach fifty in style... Gayle was the bowler! After this six, Lara was frustrated & had few words with Gayle. It seemed like, everyone in Indian dressing room wanted this pair to stay till the end to set a huge total.... But Unfortunately this pair didnt last long!!!
One Of The Unfortunate Dismissals :
Lawson just bolwed a short second spell and Smith replaced him in that end. Smith was also not that much effective as Yuvi was on fire...But Smith cleverly tricked Yuvraj that made him to return to pavilion.
The trick was the slow ball.. He delivered a slow ball & Yuvi went for an aggressive sweep but got decieved due to mistiming the shot...There was a huge shout by Smith for LBW.. Umpire took time and raised his finger to give Yuvraj Out!!
Yuvraj was not happy with the decision and returned to pavilion with worried face. The replay showed that Yuvraj's worries were correct because the replay showed that ball was never going to hit the stumps... It would surely miss the leg stumps for Yuvraj.. But umpire gave him out!!! This seemed to be an wrong decision by the umpire... Yuvraj was not able to do anything other than worryin about his unfortunate dismissal.
Well This pair crossed 100 Runs partnership but is broken now & Dhoni replaced Yuvi at the crease!!!
SACHIN's ATTACKING ROLE
Sachin was also helping Yuvraj to accelerate the scorecard. He seemed to be more quick runner of the two and cleverly converted the singles to doubles and smashed a huge six of Smith in which the ball landed out of the stadium.... This was Sachin's Fourth Six. This was the welcome boundary for Sachin as he was just picking singles & doubles before that. Lara applied different field settings to Sachin but he showed no changes to his aggressive confident approach.
Sachin Tendulkar brings yet another ODI hundred with a huge six in offside and he raises the bat very proudly to spectators and the whole arena gave him a standing applauses... Lara also gave a handshake to sachin...Now Sachin might be thinking to have a fireworks in last ten overs. Dhoni was only at one run and Collymore was brought to bowl his second spell.... Collymore striked very first over of his new spell.
COLLYMORE STRIKES AGAIN
Collymore was the only bowler who has bowled an exceptional spell so far... & he proved his excellence by striking in very first over he bowled in his new spell....
Collymore tempted Dhoni to go over the top and Dhoni fell in that trap set by Collymore... As expected by Colly, Dhoni went over the top and Bravo took a comfortable catch.. There cant be catch thats easier than this. It was very easy and Bravo didnt make any mistake.
Dhoni just faced Seven balls... And Windies were more delighted with the fall of fifth wicket for India!!! well Lara's only worry now is Sachin at the crease...
In Windies point of View, Sachin's wicket is in more demand atm and never wants him to bat throughout the 50 overs.
In Indian point of view, well its just exact opposite and everyone needed Sachin to set a great total on the scorecard.
The Last Ten overs is going to be important as the target will be known at teh end of those ten overs.
India : 187/5 (40 Overs )
Sachin : 103*(105)
Pathan : 4*(4)
Yuvi : 59(71) Dismissed by Smith
Dhoni : 1(7) dismissed by Collymore
