GREAT BOWLING BY WINDIES IN LAST 10 OVERS!!!​

With Five wickets remaining for India in last ten overs & that too Sachin at the crease, everyone expected India to finish with a great score as the last ten overs generally produces a lot of runs in ODIs. But in this match, Windies bowled well and outsmarted the batsmen.

SMITH WENT FOR RUNS!!!​

It seemed that Smith & Gayle are going to finish off the final overs for Windies!!! Smith was severely punished by Tendulkar and got a six and some boundaries also. Pathan joined this party of runs with Sachin and also got couple of runs against Smith. Smith was bowling an horrible spell but everyone wondered the captaincy of Lara to keep Smith on the attack inspite of giving away lot of runs. The fielding was wide spread but still Sachin did not stop hitting all around the ground. Lara was puzzled a bit... On the other Gayle was bowling much better comapared to Smith.

Irfan Pathan ---- Second Victim of Smith!!!

Lara's strange decision to keep Smith in the attack, though suprised everyone, worked in Windies favour in final overs.

Smith was bowling to Pathan. He bowled a slow delivery thats looked similar to Bravo's slow one & this fetched a wicket for Windies. Since it was a slow delivery, Pathan attempted to clear the fielders in the offside but was mistimed and so decieved and it resulted in the ball going towards the stump and taking the bails off... Pathan was clean bowled by Smith!! This brought some confidence to Smith after some bad overs before. Everyone celebrated the wicket and Lara was contented for not allowing this pair to carry on.

GAYLE STRIKES WITH AGARKAR's WICKET

Agarkar was the new batsman joining Sachin but he did not stay there for a long time. Agarkar was facing Gayle! Gayle bowled an normal delivery.... Ajit stepped down the crease and attempted to hit a huge one but the unfortunate thing for him was, Ajit was decieved and so he missed the ball.. The ball once again found the stumps on its way and Agarkar was clean bowled...

This was a careless shot attempted by Ajit as his main aim must have been giving strike to the master in other end. This irresponsible shot increased the wicket column of India's scorecard to 7.

Gayle was delighted to get his first wicket. Lara was jumping in joy as he was managing to get wickets in regular intervals. The score was 217 when Agarkar returned to pavilion and now even getting 250 became a big question mark!!! But only hope that remained still for Indians was Sachin Tendulkar.

Tendulkar ---- Huge Wicket For Smith & Windies!!!

In order to keep the scorecard moving, Sachin attempted an big shot on legside and it also looked like a prefect timing as the ball was travelling in air very high ...But unfortunately it didnt get the distance to cross the boundary ropes. Collymore who was the fielding near the boundary followed the path of the ball and was exacty below it and the ball found Collymore's hands quite easily and it turned out to be an fantastic catch near the boundary!!!

Sachin was disappointed but Smith celebrated this with the greatest joy... Lara was greatly relieved as the dangerman who was holding the main key departed.

Everyone gave a standing when sachin Tendulkar returned to the pavilion. The fantastic innings finally came to an end!!! Well played sachin

INDIAN INNINGS ENDED IN 241

Sreesanth's Wicket ​

Smith's slow ball that was bowled in similar way to Pathan fetched the Fourth wicket for him(Smith)! Sreesanth while playing the ordinary shot missed the ball and was clean bowled. Smith became extremely excited!!!

Now only one wicket left and the score was just 230!! All the hopes of getting 250+ was shattered now and all Indian fans were more disappointed with the lower order's preformance!!!

RunOut of H.Singh Ended the Indian Innings!!!

Harbhajan as he was likely to be better to strike the ball well wanted to maintain the strike and attempted an risky single!!! Gayle picked that very quickly and had an direct hit over the stumps and there was a huge shout by all the fielders for run out and the umpire raised his hand quickly and it resulted in all out of the Indian Innings!!!

Also that was the last over of indian Innings....So Bhaji in attempting to go to the strikers end wasnt able to keep his bat in time thereby forcing him to return to pavilion. Windies fielders were very much contented to restrict India to this score!!!

WINDIES INNINGS BEGINS...​

Welcome to the Final session of the second match between India & WestIndies where Windies had to chase 242 from 50 overs.

Indian players came out of the field following the umpires... Dravid having the new ball in his hands and setting the field... Meanwhile Windies opening batsmen Chris Gayle & Ramdin walked from the dressing room... Well this is going to be an interesting chase as we have seen already that Aussies struggled to chase 218 in the first match.

Everything was set ready and the new ball was given to Irfan Pathan, Left Arm main Strike bowler &... the umpire asked the bowler to " start!!! ". There was a huge roar from the crowd when Pathan was about to start running!!!

GREAT START FOR PATHAN!!!
( First Ball Wicket of Ramdin ) ​

Pathan Bowled a normal delivery and Ramdin went for backfoot..But the ball didnt rise to the level Ramdin expected.. This decieved Ramdin and Ball went passed just below the bat and striked the stumps and it resulted in clean bowled..... Well this made Pathan to jump in joy as this is a first ball wicket... Ramdin went for a golden duck and returned to pavilion with disappointed face!! The entire Indian team celebrated this with excitement!!!

Brain Lara, Windies skipper replaced Ramdin at the crease.

SOME PROBLEMS FOR THE BATSMEN!!!

Pathan started his spell well... And Munaf Patel shared the new ball with Pathan... Munaf was bowling extremely well... He was sticking to the basics actually... Strict line and length... that made batsmen to feel more difficult play the ball...

Munaf didnt move the ball much but his variations in pace was excellent... Both the batsmen -- Lara & Gayle, were decieved by Munaf..In one of the deliveries to Gayle, Mynaf almost got the wicket when gayle attempted to pull Munaf's slow ball... Luckily Gayle didnt get any edge that time and decieved... Also Lara faced the similat situations!!!

Also the low bounce still troubled the batsmen... Munaf in one of the deliveries spotted the uneven bouncy place well and that resulted in some extra bounce and Gayle was suprised and got struck in his ribcage but there was nothing serious after few minutes... Just few minutes pain!!!

GAYLE WENT WILD OVER PATHAN!!!

With Munaf troubling the batsmen in one end, Gayle lost some patience and decided to go over Pathan!!!

Gayle struck a huge six on legside in one of the slow deliveries bowled by Pathan... Pathan was frustrated and lost his temper a little... Dravid went and had some chat with Pathan.. The next ball was swinging away from the left hander, but Gayle got into a comfortable position and went for another Huge six in offside this time!!!

Pathan was not able to react to this aggressiveness and went back to start the next ball.. This time Dravid was also little frustrated and just was doing some alterations in the field!!!

Pathan bowled a straight delivery and Gayle just pushed the ball with little effort using the pace of the ball & it went in gaps for a boundary!!!

Infact that was the last ball of Pathan's over.... So he went to his fielding spot silently and was frustrated more inspite of his first ball wicket.

PATHAN's THIRD OVER​

LARA DEPARTS ---- MAIN WICKET FOR INDIA!!!

Inspite of the runs in Pathan's last over, Dravid still asked him to continue the spell!!! This infact brought the major wickt for India.

In the Third Ball, Brian Lara departed to Pathan!!

Pathan bowled his typical special delivery of pitching in line and swinging away from the left hander... Lara attempted to play at it and was trapped for LBW....

Infact Pathan was confident enough that he didnt even turn back to look at the umpire's decision... Pathan made a huge appeal and started running towards the keeper end to celebrate the wicket.... Also umpire raised his hand immediately without hesitation...

This was a huge wicket for India.... Lara who made a great century in previous game departed just for 2 runs!!! Dravid was excited the most.. the entire Indian team gathered together and were celebrating it with huge amount of joy & happiness!!!

Replay also showed that ball was about to hit ths stumps for sure..No doubts in that..Clean out!!!

CHANDERPAUL OFF TO A FLYING START!!!

Fourth Ball :- Chanderpaul, the new batsman replacing the skipper arrived at the crease was ready to face the first ball against Pathan.

Pathan tried the similar delivery but this time Chanderpaul played confidently in front foot and the ball bisected the fielders and went for a boundary(4)!!!

This was a confident starte to Chanderpaul as he struggled a lot against Aussies!!!

Fifth Ball :- Pathan tried a bouncer but it didnt raise to the expected level and Chanderpaul went for backfoot and striked in the same area where he got the boundary in previous ball!!!

This time also the result was the same.... Another four to Chanderpaul.

Sixth Ball :- Pathan gave some width in offside and Chanderpaul played a beautiful cut shot and this time also the ball travelled to the ropes fetching third consecutive boundary for Chanderpaul.


What a start for Chanderpaul in this match...Three successive Fours!!! Pathan was the most frustrated man on the field.


Chanderpaul and Gayle carried on nicely and plyed well against both Munaf & Pathan. Pathan was taken off from the attack after his expensive four over spell!!! Sreesanth started his first over very well!!!

Ten Overs ended and Windies were looking extremely good in the run rate at the moment!!!

CHANDERPAUL TAKING THE GAME AWAY FROM INDIA!!!​

Chanderpaul was playing magnificently against the fast bowlers... Gayle at the other end was quite contented to give support to his partner at the other end!!! Nothing was going right for the Indian bowlers... But there were few exceptional deliveries that almost got the batsmen but they were lucky enough to survive those!!!

Sreesanth was bowling to Chanderpaul from around the wicket.. In one of the deliveries, Chanderpaul was almost bowled where the ball just missed the stumps and went to the keeper... Infact it was the slow delivery! Sreesanth thought in one second that he had got the wicket and could not believe his eyes that ball did not hit the stumps!!!

In Agarkar's spell, Gayle tried to cut the delivery on offside but was decieved and ball narrowly missed the edge and went to the keeper!!! It was also the slow delivery!!!

But both the batsmen were playing exceptionally well and doesnt look like sacrificing their wicket!!!

Chris Gayle's Watchful innings!

Chris Gayle who had a confident start against the opening bowlers played very carefully & provided a good support to Chanderpaul at other end!! Infact Gayle was trying to pick singles and give strike to Chanderpaul ( who was on fire) most of the times... So Gayle is just playing a supportive role at the moment while his partner playing an aggresive role!!!

Bowlers are trying their level best to break this pair... Dravid was also adjusting the fields to try something different!!!

CHANDERPAUL DOMINATING!!!

Chanderpaul was dominating from the time he arrived at the crease... He was playing all around the ground... All the bowlers ( Munaf,Pathan,Sreesanth & Agarkar ) struggled to control him... As a result the scorecard for Windies was also accelerating nicely which Indians do not want it!!!

Infact, Chanderpaul played an worst ODI innings of his life in last match against Aussies but now he is playing an vital role in this match... What a return for this man... This is Cricket..Expect anything to happen!!! At the moment, Dravid is finding difficult to set field for Chanderpaul who is on fire!!!

FIELDING

At the same moment, Indian players were doing extremely well in fielding!! They attempted for everything and did not even give a single run that easily.. They fielded very well near the boundaries also... Some great dives were made in attempt to stop the ball, catch the ball and overall, there was great effort put in by the players in fielding!!!

CHANDERPAUL's HALF CENTURY!!!

Meanwhile, Chanderpaul who was playing exceptionally well brought his half century and raised his bat to the crowd.. There was huge encouragement provided to Chanderpaul when he raised his bat.... All Windies players in dressing room also praised this magnificent Innings!!!

Chanderpaul received standing from everyone in the stadium!!! Well played!!!

Now Gayle & Chanderpaul seem to be a great trouble for Indian bowlers!!!

In Indians point of view, This pair has to be broken quickly and should pick wickets at regular intervals!!!

In Windies point of view, This pair should continue atleast for ten more overs that will set a nice victory platform that has been initiated already now by this pair!!!

Chanderpaul Departs​

Dravid was trying differnt things already in the field to break this pair... finally the skipper decided to bring the spinner on as he was well aware of Lara bringing Banks early when Indians were batting and infact that worked also!!!

So Dravid stopped Sreesanth and gave the ball to Harbhajan Singh... Gayle was at the strikers end... Bhaji went to bowl around the wicket straight away and the field was bit defensive...

Bhaji started off well against Gayle... Chris Gayle was finding little difficult to play against the turn... The ball was turning well and the main thing is umpredictable bounce still worrying the batsmen. Bhaji became even more difficult to play with uneven bounce and turn together!!!Gayle got a single in the fifth delivery and gave strike to Chanderpaul.

The Very first ball Chanderpaul faced Bhaji produced the wicket.... Bhaji bowled an normal offbreak... Chanderpaul going on backfoot misread the raise of the ball and as a result Chanderpaul was decieved and ball managed to go in the gap between bat and pad and striked the stumps!!! Chanderpaul was clean bowled!!!

Bhaji & Dravid Danced Celebrating the Wicket!!!

Indian Skipper was excited a lot as he knew the importance of this pair.. Bhaji and Dravid danced there on the field and celebrated the wicket with great joy and happiness!!! Chanderpaul played an magnificent innings and that came to an end with Bhaji's great delivery!!!

Chanderpaul recieved an standing applauses from the crowd when he returned to the pavilion... R.Sarwan replaced Chanderpaul at the crease!!!

Windies have to be careful against the spinners as it seems that spinners can perform some tricks in this pitch... Dravid might think now even to bring sachin & sehwag to slow down the run rate of Windies!!!
