Lara's Half Century

larafiftyol8.jpg

Brian Lara who was going on nicely brought his fifty in Symonds over! Well he played an beautiful shot on offside and ran a quick double and raised his bat to the crowd proudly for his captain's knock! He recieved :clap :clap from everyone in the stadium! This was the important knock considering the situation where both openers departed without scoring! Windies fans were enjoying the most uncontrollable fun in the arena!

Chanderpaul's Superb Supportive Fifty!

chndrsuppxp6.jpg

Well on the other Chanderpaul took his time for getting his fifty! He also followed Lara in raising his bat and recieving applauses from the crowd! This pair has seemed to look solid for Windies and this partnership rescued Windies from the horrible start!

Chanderpaul was playing another patient innings! He attacked only the bad delivery and was happy in defensive shots in other deliveries! But as Lara was goin nicely in one end, this defensive innings from Chanderpaul looked like an supporting one! What a contrast this player has got ---- In first match, very defensive; In second match, very aggressive; In this match, defensive! :)

Bowlers Not Happy With Lara!

laraggrwj3.jpg

Lara continued the same aggressive form even after getting his half century! Danger alarm was kept on alarming Ponting that Lara wud be more danger in Final Ten overs! Pobting was trying different field options and was also shuffling Hogg,Symonds,Bracken and Watto preserving McGrath & Lee for last ten overs! But Ponting wasnt able to control Lara from attacking the bowlers!

Lara played some beautiful cut shots, straight drives, cover drives using his footwork at the best and was very comfortable in handling the bowlers! The music from Windies section in the stadium was even more loud and fans were infact actually enjoying the music played by Lara than they play :p

But this happiness came to an end as Hogg striked for first time!

Huge Blow For Windies --- Lara Departs!

laraoutgt8.jpg

Hogg bowled an normal delivery to Lara and aggressive Lara, all of a sudden went on to play an defensive shot and was the result was unbelievable!

Lara stretched in front fully and attempted an ordinary stroke and the ball somehow managed to decieve the bat and went pass lara towards the stumps! The ball took off the bails softly and as a result, Lara was clean bowled! This was really unbelievable and Lara stared at the pitch and his bat for long time and unwillingly returned to pavillion!

But the entire Aussie Team were more happy about this wicket as they got rid of the most dangerman of Windies! So they celebrated and jumped with joy! Sarwan was the new batsman replacing Lara!

WI : 154/3 ( 34 Overs )

Chanderpaul : 57*
Sarwan : 0*

Lara : 73 dismissed by Hogg!

Sad though to be dismissed in this fashion.
Still the Windies are going pretty strong I must say !

West Indies were going well when Lara was at the crease. Hopefully they'll still be able to get a good score on the board.

good score by West Indies ...bring McGrath back and then West Indies will loose quick wickets

GAME INTO THE CLIMAX FOR WINDIES INNINGS!

Well, the last 15 overs are more important in any ODI as the runs, wickets, sillymistakes and everything will happen in those fifteen overs! Its genrally tough stage for the fielding team where they have to be careful to stop the free flow of runs!

Ponting wud be happy as his team was able to get rid of Lara before the final fifteen overs! But still Chanderpaul was there batting on 50+ and also Sarwan is one of the talented players in Windies side!

Fielding Display of Aussies

aussfieldingss8.jpg

Well, it was a suprise that Chanderpaul also started freeing his arms after a long silent innings and looked to score runs! Sarwan in the other end was started off nicely! These two made Australian fileders run behind the ball for some time!

Aussie players responded well with the great fielding display! They made some brave dives and trying to stop everything! Also some excellent fielding was done near the boundaries! This is very difficult to do in last stage of the games especially but Aussies were found doing that well!

Chanderpaul after starting to free his arms did not stay long, Once again Hogg striked for Aussies taking another crucial wicket!

Luck In Favour Of Hogg :)

chderoutbh9.jpg

Hogg was once again bowling a normal delivery and Chanderpaul in aggressive mood (now) tried to pull that in attempt to a big one but was very very unfortunate that ball found the bottom edge and moved towards the stumps resulting in a clean bowled!

This was unfortunate dismissal for Windies once again! It was a normal delivery but unluckily ball found the bottom edge! Chanderpaul and Lara who were in fine touch dismissed in unusual fashion and both the wickets were taken by Hogg! Hogg shd be really lucky to get wickets in these type of normal deliveries!

Sarwan Kept The Momentum Going!

sarwanaggresbc9.jpg

With the two unlucky dismissals and two new batsmen at the crease, it was an easy opportunity created for Aussies to take some more quick wickets!

But Sarwan prevented Aussies from taking adavantage and started to fire against the bowlers! Lee was brought back into the attack and Lee was very effective as usual! Sarwan got some beautiful boundaries including one great sweep off Hogg!

Sarwan move to quick 20 and the game has reached 40 overs! So last ten overs is going to be interesting to see whether bowlers are firing or batsmen are firing! Now Windies climax starts here.....

WI : 190/4 ( 40 Overs )

Sarwan : 21*(19)
Smith : 5*(3)

Great stuff from Lara and Chanderpaul but these frequent wickets are going to come back and haunt the Windies if their not careful.

Big alst 10 overs here for Windies :)

Great Presentation as always,

A great read, and i reckon Lara played an outstanding knock, with the only bad shot was that one where he didnt expect the movement from Hogg

West Indies need to motor here, otherwise the Aussies could leave them hanging. Lara batted well and seemed to be enjoying himself up until is odd dismissal.

Good come back for Australia. If they can keep the Windies to about 240 that would be pretty good.

:happy Thanx evryone for the wonderful replies :happy

Updates of last ten exciting overs:p coming up shortly! :)
