India Vs WestIndies ----- Preview!​

Welcome to the preview show for the fifth match between India and WestIndies of the DLF cup! Well, this will be the important match for India as they are yet to open their points account in this DLF series!

* West Indies with three consecutive victories are at the top of the table and also entered into finals comfortably! This is the last match for them in the prelim rounds!

* Australia with one victory against India is currently at the second position in the table... They have to win against India if they have to reach finals without any troubles!

* India with two consecutive losses is at the bottom of the table without any points! They have to win both the games if India has to reach the finals!



So in todays match, well the atmosphere here from Malaysia is looking great and rain have not visited almost a week.... So its a good news for cricket fans especially for Indian team because they have to win this!

Well,Rahul Dravid spoke to StarSports,

We are disappointed with the way we have started off in this tournament! Especially from the last match, we have learnt a lot! We were working for last two days very hard in both batting and bowling! So hope this time, the things go in right way! Windies are looking great at the moment and with three consecutive victories, its never going to be easy to beat them! We will try our level best and see what happens!

Also we were able to get few words from Lara as well,

We are happy with the things that went so far with three wins in a row! In next match against India, hope that our boys continue the same form in the rest of the matches also! Regarding Indian team, Sachin tendulkar and their skipper are important wickets which our bowlers will hunting for! So expecting a challenging cricket in this match!

So both the captains expressing their confidence and its very very important match for India to win this one! Well there is also no confirmations on the changes in Indian team! We will knowing that before the match starts! Also both the teams were busy in the field practicing!

Well, Dravid seemed to sort out some strategies with his coach and mostly shd be worried about the stability of the batting lineup especially the middle order! The middle order for India apart from Dravid need to show some consistency and get runs for the team! Pathan's position in batting order is likey to be expected to move up the order! But we have to wait till the final lineup is announced!

Windies Team

In windies side, Lara seems to be happily discussing the strategy with the coach and happiness was found among the entire team as they have now qualified for the finals and this match wud be like a practice game for Windies!

But both the teams were found practicing hard in the field and the question that have arised among the fans is,

" Will windies make consecutive four victories or Will India prevent the consecutive third loss in this series ??? "

welcome to the LIVE coverage of the fifth match between India and WestIndies of the DLF cup from Malaysia! We will straight away start with the weather and pitch report!

Weather Report:- Well, its a bright sunny day and we are expecting the full day's play without interruption of rain which is the good news for playing cricket


Toss :- Windies won the toss and decided to bowl first!

Pitch Report​

The pitch has improved a lot from last one week and now it seems to be a perfect condition for the bowlers! There are grasses found on many parts of the pitch and the bowlers gain upperhand compared to the batsmen! The pace and bounce will be good on this wicket! But at the same time, the ball with the good pace comes on to the bat! So a bad line is sure to be punished and bowlers with perfect line and length on this wicket might look threatening!

The team winning the toss might bowl first and cud try to utilise the grassy conditions on the fresh wicket!

Indian team batting order looks suprising with Ganguly as a opener once again! He is well experienced in this position! Lets see if Sourav can succeed in this position! Also, Agarkar and Kaif are out of the squad and Powar and Sreesanth are brught in as the changes! So India going with 5 specialist bowlers!

Windies​

In Windies lineup, Edwards entering into the squad to share the new ball with Collymore instead of Lawson! Also Chanderpaul promoted as opening batsman and Ramdin pushed down the order! But these are the experimentation by Windies coach trying to get the stability in middle order!


So both the teams walked out of the dressing room and Collymore wud bowl the first new ball over! Everything kept ready except for the umpire's signal " Go... "! There is a huge roar in the stadium and many spectators were excited infact to see both Sourav and Sachin back as openers

Sachin & Sourav, A Good Start!​

( Reminds Everyone of their Past Glory )​

Well, with Sachin and sourav as openers, which is again an different experimentation of the coach with Ganguly, India started off well! Both the openers neither go too defensively nor too aggressively! Openers had the intentions clear not to throw the wicket away! Also Windies bowlers didnt seem to threaten this time as both batsmen were comfortable!

Ganguly ~ Good Start after a Long Time!

Ganguly was watchful and also confident this time right from the first ball he faced! More important thing is, Ganguly didnt try to stay at the crease this time but he was looking to attack the bowlers that have made him stay at the crease now inturn!

Other good thing found was Ganguly was moving his feet very well though only one shot ball was attempted from Edwards! Ganguly was happy to let it pass to the keeper that time! So this opening position seems to be better than in middle order where he has struggled in both the games before! Ganguly had given the good steady start and solid support to Sachin now!

Sachin's Great Form Continues!

On the other end Sachin Tendulkar displayed his consistent form in this match also! He moved his feet very well and played superbly on both sides (off n leg) of the wicket! Also at the same time he didnt take risk against some very good deliveries bowle by Collymore! He went wild over the deliveries bowled in bad line!

Inspite of the slips present, Sachin was able to play the lovely late cuts that managed to fetch boundaries! Also Tendulkar played a huge sweep shot off Bravo that went one bounce over the rope! Sachin was looking mentally and physically strong and only hope for Lara now is to wait for Sachin to make some mistakes!

This pair reached 50 partnership which was huge relieve to the coach as his experiments seem to work again & also Ganguly seems to be little more confident in this opening slot!

But for Windies, Lara was not satisfied as he wants to break this pair and also wants to get rid of Sachin! Well, the efforts are now being applied from both the sides! The game has reached the end of fifteen overs with scoring rate of India above 4 which is an average scoring rate but India still got 10 wickets in their hand!

India is very comfortable after the 35 overs and their main key Sachin is still batting at the crease!Though Windies were able to get the wicket of Ganguly early, They were unable to stop Sachin Tendulkar going over the bowlers!

Ganguly Departs!

Well, after the good start by openers, Windies were finally able to get the break through by sending Ganguly to pavilion! Bravo was the bowler striked for WestIndies!

Bravo atempted an yorker and it turned out to be an low full toss! Ganguly who was moving his feet well, just tried to put it away in gap for a single but it was a excellent effort by Collymore to dive in front and managed to take the catch resulting in the wicket of Sourav Ganguly!

IT was very disappointed way of getting out! Sourav was unhappy for not able to convert the good start to a big one! He returned to pavilion with disappointed face but he has played well comparing to the last few games! Also a thing to note is that, Ganguly was once again being dismissed by a low full toss! ( Even in the last Match Vs Aussies, He was dismissed by a low full toss of Bracken )

Sachin's Non-Stop Fireworks!

In Other end, Sachin Tendulkar entertained the spectators with non-stop fireworks! Sachin who was well settled started to go over the bowlers and Windies players did not find any solution to stop him still Lara was breaking his head to decide the field for Sachin and he was found frequently adjusting the fielders!

Sachin once again dominating the bowlers and the fielders could watch only the ball flying to different parts of the ground! There was some detemination found in Sachin today and infact he went for all the shots so confidently! Indian Fans were roaring with their maximum voice! Though Windies fans were continuosly playing the music in one end, the shouts of " Sachin..... Sachin!!! " were more! There is a huge support for India today!

Tendulkar played some beautiful coverdrives,legglances,sweeps and straight drives i.e ball was flying everywhere and his footwork & technique were at the best! Well Lara, being a good friend to Sachin, knows him very well but atm is clueless as how to stop his friend from firing

Sehwag Joins The Party With Tendulkar!

Sehwag who joined Sachin after Ganguly did not find any pressure and he started his innings with giving strikes to Tendulkar and after settling for some time, he also went on for blasts like Sachin though he was not that much aggressive like sachin!

Sehwag played some excellent coverdrives, sweep shots and used his feet well to step out of the crease and hit and also used his front & back foot well! Sehwag was also enjoying the batting like his partner in other end!

Already Windies were disappointed with Sachin's wildness and now with the entrance of Sehwag also in firing, bowlers lost their temper often and Lara was having a frequent chats with the bowlers not to panic!

Windies wanted so badly to break this pair! Atlast that happened in the 35th over and Smith was the bowler who striked!

Sehwag ~ Atlast, Dismissed by Smith!

Sehwag, who was in aggressive mood just moved his feet quickly to play the cut shot against Smith! But he was decieved totally and the ball went in gaps between pad & bat and striked the middle stump! Sehwag was clean bowled!

Smith though striked with one of the important wickets, Windies did not celebrate this that happily as the major key is in the hands of the Master ( Tendulkar )!

Moreover Sachin entering the last 15 overs of the game... this really signals the danger alarm for entire Windies team! Windies have to be very careful in last 15 overs because India seems to be comfortable with 8 wickets in hand and moreover Sachin, The MasterBlaster is still there!

An Excellent Century From Little Master!​

Sachin Tendulkar , once again reached three didgits in this series with a single towards the straight! Tendulkar,with that single reached his century and raised his bat prowdly to the spectators and this time, applauses were more than the first match! Even Lara went to Sachin and gave a handshake!

From Indian dressing room, Sachin recieved the standing 's from the coach and other players!

Crowd's Reaction!

Indian spectators, without any doubts, are enjoying the great music played by Sachin all around the ground! Almost everyone were jumping from their places with joy and happiness and their lips cried " Saaachiiin...Saaachiin!!! "

Well, what an innings this has been so far..absolutely yet another fantastic knock by Sachin! Indian team needs him till the end to get huge score on the board!
