Spinners Continued the Momentum left by Fast Bowlers!​

Well, Dravid decided to give spinners stopping both the fast bowlers and giving them rest! Harbhajan and Powar were given the ball to continue! Also everyone expected Ganguly to bowl but the spinners were really impressive that Dravid allowed them to continue!

Harbhajan was very impressive and struck in his first spell itself by getting the important and crucial wicket of Sarwan! Sarwan have the capacity to change the match's direction but loosing him is a big loss for Windies!

Bhaji bowled an normal offbreak and Sarwan trying to hit in straight and was completely decieved and the ball hit the stumps resulting in another bowled and Sarwan returned to pavilion with worried face! This was a huge wicket for India! and Indian team continued their moment of happiness & joy!

Smith Dismissed & Amazing Catch by Sachin!

Smith didnot last long too.... Harbhajan once again striked with the wicket of Smith! This time it was a arm ball from Bhaji and Smith tried to pull it away in legside for runs but it got the top edge! The ball went very high in the air and it just got the slight distance lesser than ropes, near which Tendulkar was standing!

Sachin just stretched his hands to take the catch and the ball managed to stay in Sachin's hands and also at the same time, Tendulkar was very few distance near the rope! He took the magnificent catch without touching the rope! Once again Indian team celebrated the wicket fall and Hinds on other end was playing well!

Some Confidence Showed By Hinds!

Well, wicket falling in one end created more pressure on the batsmen and Windies with the six wickets lost, they seemed to be almost out of the victory path!

But still, Hinds showed some great batting display moving his feet well! He played some brilliant straight drives, sweep shots and used front & back foot well! But Hinds efforts in scoring runs is still not enough becos of the havoc created by top order batsmen!

Victory For India With No Fightback from Windies!​

Well, with last 10 overs remaining, there were minute hopes of Hinds and Ramdin to entertain the spectators! But for last 10 overs, it went in favour of India completelt with Munaf bowling at his best! Ramdin and Hinds rooted at crease for some time but both of them got dismissed!

Ramdin Atlast Made Some Runs in this Tournament!

Ramdin who was demoted in the batting order due to the poor starts in this tournament, finally, broke his patience with quick firung 30! Ramdin started freeing his arms and went over everywhere though he didnt get boundaries in all occassions... But he seemed to move his feet well which was missing in the previous games! So there is something atleast to be happy off for Windies supporters to see this man getting runs! But the entertainment which Ramdin provided didnt last long... It was put to an by Munaf Patel!

Munaf Picks Fourth Wicket!

Munaf Patel was brought back by Dravid for final overs and it infact worked! Munaf picked his fourth wicket! It was an ordinary delivery outside off stump and Ramdin trying to go over the top got an top edge and it resulted in the simple catch near the boundary! Ramdin's little entertainment came to an end!

Windies were satisfied with Ramdin though as he still posses the ability of scoring runs! The opening position is crucial in the final because for Windies, openers are yet to do their job! So This quick knock may put Ramdin back to opening slot for quick runs in finals! Ramdin returned to pavilion and Indians celebrated the wicket with great joy!

Hinds Followed Ramdin To Pavilion!

Hinds followed Ramdin's way to pavilion in very next over! This time it was Pathan taking the wicket! Pathan also bowled well today which is one of the good news for India! Pathan bowled an slow delivery and Hinds mistimed it and as a result, the ball went in air and landed as the safe catch to the fielder there!

Hinds was dismissed for 40! The thing to be noted is that most of the Windies batsmen got good starts but unfortunately they werent able to convert those for long runs!

The entire Indian team have started smelling the first victory in this series and the bowlers were restless for full 50 overs to be finished!

India's First Victory in the Series!

Atlast the bowlers finished the full fifty overs with no fight back from Windies! Windies lost 8 wickets but was contented to play full 50 overs, after all its a practice game for Windies having entered the finals!

But for India its a important and first win in this series! The entire team, Indian fans and the ofcourse the Indian dressing room were filled with happiness! Indian players walked off with some confidence restored now to face Aussies in next match!
