Welcome to the last match in group stage of the DLF cup which has turned out to be the semi finals of this series between India and Australia! The team winning today will be playin in the finals against Windies! So this is a crucial game for both the teams! We will straight away go to the weather and pitch report!

The pitch is looking same as the previous game! It supports the fast bowlers with good pace and bounce! Its been expected that Australian bowlers will be liking this conditions more! But the effect of this can be well utilised in fresh wicket i.e team bowling first! Once the pitch gets older after 50 overs, the bounce is likely to be dropped a bit and will be slightly favourable for batsmen! But the equal contest between bat and ball is expected in today's game! The team winning the toss wud prbly go for bowling and anything around 270-280 will be a Match winning total!

Good Opening Start By Aussies!​

Its been a long time that openers striked for Australia! The focus of the Entire crowd supporting Aussies was on this pair, Hayden & Gilchrist! Hayden making a comeback to ODI side after long time & Gilchrist out of form in recent matches.... So the spectators were worried whether the opners wud disappoint them in this match also!

But, it happened in other way Aussie openers provided a great start to this important match and Indian bowlers struggled a bit to pitch it in right areas becof of the aggressiveness showed by both the left handers!

Adam Gilchrist On Fire ~ After Long Time!

Adam Gilchrist who did not have good series so far started going over the bolwers! He was moving his feet quickly and just blindly going over the bolwers in typical Gillchrist style and that fetched regular boundaries for Australia too! Munaf and Pathan though they were trying to create opportunities, were not that effective like the last game against Windies! Well, that may be due to some mind games also between Aussies & Indians!

Hayden's Excellent Innings!

With Gilchrist firing in one end, Hayden also joined him in firing Hayden came back into ODI after long time but the way he started his innings with great confidence was amazing! Like his partner, Hayden also moved his feet very well... & was playing shots all around the ground! Munaf tried some short pitched deliveries too but was pulled away at ease!

Both the opening bowlers were struggling to pitch the ball right and with the pressure due to aggressive approach of batsmen, bowlers gave away some silly extras & some overpitched deliveries too! Dravid was not happy with this start.... He removed the slips and was frequently adjusting the field and was waiting for batsman to make mistakes!

Dravid stopped both Munaf & Pathan and introduced Harbhajan & Sreesanth and this infact brought atleast the initial breakthrough!

Gilchrist ~ Victim of Harbhajan after well made 46!

Harbhajan was bowling normal offbreaks and in one of the delivereies, Gilchrist stepped out from the crease and tried to hit a huge one but was decieved completely and missed the ball... The ball travelled towards the stumps and it resulted in a clean bowled!

Bhaji was delighted to get this huge wicket in his early spell and Dravid was relieved a bit! Gilchrist walked towards the pavilion aftr a fine knock of 46! He provided an excellent entertainment to the spectators and the partnership of 97 came to an end!

Hayden and Ponting kept the momentum going though and game reached the end of 20 overs and at the moment, even Sreesanth and Harbhajan are struggling as Aussies were able to maintain the good scoring rate!
